Games Wolfenstein: The New Order All reviews Review from Skalanut

Return of the genre

For a long time I really wanted to play a normal, good joker, I couldn’t play Wolfenstein: The New Order for a long time, but I finally got around to it.

To my surprise, I found a lot more in the game than just a joke; surprisingly, there is a pretty good plot. Usually in games, the plot fades into the background, and we don’t remember the secondary characters in any way, but here everything is different. MachineGames managed to do the impossible, to combine the seemingly incompatible. Each hero has his own story, albeit a short one, you follow each of him, empathize. Although, a couple of minutes ago he destroyed everything that moves.

Although sometimes the corridors are very felt, the developers managed to create a feeling of a big world. Notes from newspapers are scattered everywhere, describing events that happened in one or another part of the world, we listen to audio diaries. In general, complete immersion.

Yes, it’s worth saying a special thank you for the music, it’s wonderful, but it’s not enough.

Wolfenstein: The New Orde, as I wrote in the title, this is a return to the genre. As they say: the new is the well-forgotten old. So you can have something to do for a week. Why a week? I don’t know, I just didn’t stop the penultimate difficulty level, It was so interesting to watch the plot.
