Games Yakuza 0 All reviews Review from Yura Pizhuk

Yakuza 0 has a dramatic, touching and serious main plot, as well as a mini-series of comedic side quests.

This game has a very good and dramatic plot that balances action and absurdity well. Every 2 chapters, the protagonist changes and we get to know the story of two incredibly charismatic heroes, whose destinies are slowly beginning to intertwine. With each new chapter, the game gets better in terms of plot, because Yakuza studied at the same school as Metal Gear. It's interesting to watch the fate of the characters here, especially when it comes to the second protagonist. During the course of the story, you get hit in the face many times, beat up other Yakuza members with all possible and impossible objects. By the end of the game, you've beaten up so many people that you've cut Japan's population...in half.

The game effortlessly creates dark, cinematic tension and memorable characters with commanding, emotional voices. However, for a game that allows you to beat the crap out of every living thing, it indulges in a lot of irrelevant bullshit. For example, between cut scenes with mafia showdowns, the game will make you run for drinks for the homeless in the local park.

There is a lot of dialogue in this game. So much so that you spend 50% talking and the other 50% beating people up for what they said to you. But even this cannot be compared with the incredible number and variety of boss fights. In what other game can you beat up a crime boss with all the furniture from the IKEA catalogue?

As you may have noticed, the game loves to betray its serious tone with absurd and pompous performances, and it will more than once make you question the adequacy of what is happening.

In Yakuza 0, in addition to the main plot, there are a hundred more ridiculous extras. missions that completely capture the player's attention. One day, I met a boy whose video game was stolen. I found the thief and beat him up. But it was stolen from that thief by another thief, whom I also beat. But this video game was also stolen from him by another thief, who turned out to be a member of the Yakuza and put several bullets in me. And he turned out to be the father of this boy. Afterwards, my father apologized and gave me a katana... How about teaching a girl to be a proper BDSM mistress? How about helping the statue go to the toilet? How about joining a cult? Well, what about a separate storyline where you have to buy up businesses? Even here there are your own bosses with whom you need to compete in various mini-games so as not to lose part of your assets.

How about an alternative in the form of working in a cabaret club, where you need to hire girls, select their clothes, make-up, which you will agree, smacks a little of pimping. At this point it is better to change the subject.

I highly recommend trying this game. The Yakuza series has been around for 15 years and is just starting to reach us. If you want to discover this incredible series.

Play for fun and may the Force be with you!
