It turns out that a real nuclear disaster could happen in Minecraft. The player decided to play a prank on his friend and accidentally caused an explosion that spread radioactive material throughout the server and temporarily made it life-threatening.
A user with the nickname Buka decided to recreate a fusion reactor in Minecraft using the Mekanism mod, which brings the equipment and buildings on the server «to the level of the 21st century.» Of course, the set also included technologies for energy production using nuclear materials. The enthusiast began to build the station together with the player rohrxd, but the latter decided to make an extremely bad joke.
Having gotten used to the role of a nuclear reactor safety inspector, rohrxd slipped fish into the structure. As a result, the construction of the multi-block structure was interrupted and at some point the material detonated. As a result, a huge cloud of radioactive material spread across the server, killing all living things within the explosion area. The server was empty for 6 hours and 29 minutes—that's how long the half-life took.
«Thanks to» such a prank, Buka nevertheless abandoned the construction of the reactor, deciding to switch to safer wind turbines and solar panels.
Earlier, as a result of a leak, a first look at the characters from the film adaptation of Minecraft appeared.
