A craftsman from the UnrealWars YouTube channel shared the first look at his unofficial remake of the rail shooter Star Wars: Rebel Assault. The game was released back in 1993 for DOS, Macintosh, Sega CD and 3DO Interactive Multiplayer.

Join Rookie One as you pilot iconic starfighters, engage in intense dogfights, and embark on daring missions against the Empire. With enhanced visuals and immersive storytelling, this remake brings the beloved classic to life like never before.
— Project description

To recreate the classic, the fan chose the Unreal Engine 5. Among other things, the updated game will receive smoother and more convenient controls, as well as redesigned locations. As in the original, players will take on the role of a young pilot from Tatooine and fight the forces of the Empire, and in the finale they will be able to blow up the Death Star instead of Luke Skywalker.

The unofficial remake of Star Wars: Rebel Assault does not yet have a release date. By the way, UnrealWars is working on it alone.

Previously, another enthusiast showed what a remake of Ultimate Spider-Man could look like.
