Developers from Headlight Studio have released a new video for the post-apocalyptic survival simulator Rooted. The video was unveiled to mark the start of the second phase of closed alpha testing, for which you can apply on the official website.
According to the creators, the open world has become more expansive in the second phase of the alpha. New locations and structures have been introduced. Additionally, work is underway on new modules, including resort areas, a zoo, and a large watchtower. These locations are already available in the game, but they are only partially completed.
The developers also announced that new gameplay features have been added: building and crafting. There's now a mechanic for character infection upon encountering infected individuals. On top of everything, Rooted now includes a dynamic weather system.
As a reminder, Rooted is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5. You can add the project to your wishlist on Steam.
