An unusual Easter egg has been spotted in Mortal Kombat 1 while playing as Conan the Barbarian, a new DLC character. Some fans believe it might hint at the mysterious pink ninja named Floyd.

During matches, players have noticed a pink icon labeled "Floyd" appearing on the screen, accompanied by a guitar riff.

Gamers haven't yet figured out how to trigger this moment. It might require pressing something when the message appears to unlock the secret.

Interestingly, several years ago, NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon expressed his desire to add a pink ninja named Floyd.

Yes. I honestly want to make a PINK ninja and name him FLOYD. No kidding.
— Ed Boon

Additionally, in 2023, a dataminer known as thethiny discovered text referencing Floyd in the game's files.

Some fans also speculate that the recent find might be somehow connected to the rock band Pink Floyd.

NetherRealm Studios has yet to comment on the situation. As a reminder, Conan the Barbarian will be available to Khaos Reign pass holders today (January 21). A week later, the DLC character can be purchased separately. Following this, the T-1000 from the action movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day will be added to the game.
