One of the key mechanics of the Resident Evil series is the search for ammunition and hidden items. Village is no exception, and the surroundings of each of its locations are teeming with various things that can be sold or used to fight monsters. We have already published several guides with detailed instructions on where and how to find the necessary item for progression. This time, we have compiled full maps with all items (plot-related and not), treasures, and other things hidden from players.
Map legend:
There is no clear map and layout of Ethan's house in the game, so we will just focus on the items that can be found in the house.
Here is an example map for easier orientation.
Some treasures and a white pig will appear upon revisiting this location. Several secret items are hidden in the field. Inspect the trees more carefully to spot golden cages with items. You will be able to use the well after finding a special wheel. Louisa's treasure and key will be obtained after completing Castle Dimitrescu.
The western part of the village is filled with various items. You can spot several gemstones by their twinkling sparkle, so often examine ceilings and facades of buildings. The key to Maestro's house can be found in the garden building behind the village. Some places will not be accessible during the first or even second visit, so make sure to explore the western part of the village several times.
It is recommended to explore this area after completing the Beneviento house. To unlock the poultry house, you will need a cogwheel, which you will obtain after completing the Moreau's Reservoir. In the same area, you can also find a well wheel.
This area should also be searched multiple times. Above the cemetery on a tree, you will be able to find a rare blue bird. The crypt with a plaque will open after completing the Beneviento house. Upon revisiting the church, you will be able to find new plot items. Near the bridge to Castle Dimitrescu, you may notice five crows sitting on the ground. Scare them and shoot them with a shotgun while they are in the air. For this, you will receive the Squawk Shot achievement.
Most items in the garden will be found after returning from the Beneviento house. The ball for the puzzle will be located next to the tombstone. Beneviento's treasure can be obtained after revisiting the cemetery in the center of the village. Make sure to stock up on ammunition and mines to deal with the giant and smaller enemies. To enter the craftsman's treasure room, you need to go around the building and climb onto the platforms.
Return to the ceremony site after completing Moreau's Reservoir. Activate the drawbridge and take a boat south. In the cave, you will find equipment and Chris's team's hideout. Return to the boat by the bridge and sail under the hanging path to reach Dimitrescu's cache. To open the lattice door with the treasure, light the vampire on fire and make him reach the far torch so he can light it with his body.
You will enter this location during the Moreau's Reservoir mission. The main area will open after obtaining the cogwheel. Do not forget to return to the mill to activate the ball puzzle.
The location doesn't have super-secret spots, but be attentive when exploring the cave with lycans (where the boat key lies), as some items are very well hidden. While solving the puzzle with the switches, you can spot a goat statuette on a pole in the water. Destroy it in advance, as you won't have the chance to come back later. Also, after defeating Moreau, don't rush to the exit towards the elevator and return to the fisherman's house. The water in the location will be gone, so you can retrieve the previously inaccessible treasure under the building.
The location lacks hidden items. The goat statuette is located under the house on an altar.
All items in the forbidden forest are placed in visible spots.
A shimmering crystal on the side of the spiral staircase. Several gemstones can be found in the crystal cave by their sparkling reflections. Check the map to ensure you don't miss any stones.
There are no special items in this location, except for plot-related ones. Just don't forget to destroy the goat statuette behind the fence on the left side of the house.
The location is vast, so there are many items. Examine every nook, check the drawers and cabinets, and pay close attention to dark corners. After the first encounter with Dimitrescu, visit the northern Chambers of Solace and retrieve the treasure.
The second floor of the castle is filled with various useful items and treasures.
The location is quite complicated and extensive, so carefully study the map to find hidden boxes and a precious gem.
All items are located in darkened rooms, but they are quite easy to find. Illuminate every secluded spot with your flashlight.
An extremely confusing location, but it doesn't have terribly hidden items.
On a second walkthrough, this location will be significantly darker, so collect items the moment you first arrive in this area.
To get to the treasure, you need to have explosives with you.
An extremely confusing location, but it doesn't have terribly hidden items.
A small location with a minimal number of items. You will find yellow quartz under the green lamp above the door.
Almost an empty plot-related location.
It has no structure. All documents are neatly laid out on tables.
There is an interactive map of all items from Resident Evil Village, which you can view by this link. It's quite simple to use and multifunctional. The user can select from the list the necessary items, which will clear the map of unnecessary information.
