Amazon Prime Video has shared the first teaser for a show based on the Yakuza series of games. The video shows Kazuma Kiryu and the entertainment in Tokyo's gangster district.
The series depicts the lives of fierce yet passionate gangsters and people living in a huge entertainment district, Kamurochō, a fictional district modeled after the violent Shinjuku ward's Kabukichō, that acts as the backdrop of the gameplay. Like a Dragon: Yakuza showcases modern Japan and the dramatic stories of these intense characters, such as the legendary Kazuma Kiryu, that games in the past have not been able to explore.
The show will star Ryoma Takeuchi, and Masaharu Take will direct. The series will follow the events of the very first Yakuza game from 2005.
Like a Dragon: Yakuza will be released on October 23 on Amazon's streaming service. The first season will have a total of six episodes.
Earlier, it became known that Michael Bay intends to make a series about skibidi toilets. New excerpts from the animated series about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have also appeared.
