The famous director Ridley Scott has announced that he is already working on a new film in the Alien franchise for 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox). He previously produced Alien: Romulus, which became one of the most successful films in the series.
Ridley Scott told The Hollywood Reporter about this, but he did not provide any details about the project. Most likely, the new film about the xenomorph is still in the very early stages of development. In addition, the director and his production company Scott Free Productions are ready to work on a sequel to Romulus, which is already in the plans of 20th Century Studios.
Ridley Scott is known to a wide audience as the director of the first Alien in 1979, as well as the original Gladiator and Blade Runner. He also worked on the controversial films Prometheus in 2012 and Alien: Covenant in 2017. The director is currently preparing the sequel Gladiator 2 for release, starring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington.
The first reviews of Gladiator 2, which had a special screening at the end of October, have recently appeared. The film is scheduled to premiere on November 22. The latest trailer can be viewed here.
