According to Forbes, the premiere date of the final season of The Squid Game may have been accidentally revealed by Netflix Korea. The official account of the streaming service posted a video with a date.
For a short time, the Korean division published a promo video with the date of June 27, 2025. The video has already been deleted, but the information leaked online. It seems that only six months will pass between the premiere of the second and third seasons.
Recall that the sequel started on December 26 on Netflix, the second season appeared online in its entirety. According to the streaming service, the series once again broke the record — this time for the number of views per week. The second season of The Squid Game also became the most popular show in 92 countries at the time of its premiere.
It should be noted that the third season will not be one in the usual sense. According to the creator of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, this will be more of a conclusion to the second season. In the final episodes, viewers will find out how the Gi-hun's story and other participants in the bloody games ends.
