Last week, we reported that the announcement of the Oscar nominees had been postponed to January 19 due to wildfires in Southern California. Recently, it was revealed that the date has been pushed back once more. The nominees will now be announced on January 23.
The wildfires in Southern California began on January 7 and continue to rage. The flames have destroyed the homes of many celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Bridges, Mel Gibson, Ed Harris, and others.
As a result of the fires, 25 people have lost their lives, and over 12,000 buildings have been destroyed or partially damaged. Around 180,000 people have been forced to evacuate to safer locations.
It's worth noting that the production of the second season of the Fallout series has also been halted due to the fires.
