Jason Schreier was a guest on the IGN podcast and discussed his new book, Play Nice, dedicated to the history of Blizzard Entertainment. The hosts were particularly interested in the final chapter, which claims that the studio is once again working on a StarCraft shooter.

According to Schreier, the game is being developed by Dan Hay, a former producer of the Far Cry series who left Ubisoft in 2021. At his new job, Hay worked on a fantasy survival game, but it was canceled in 2024.

When Schreier was writing the book, the StarCraft shooter was in the early stages of development. Currently, the journalist does not know what the team is working on.

Recall that in the 2000s, Blizzard was working on the StarCraft: Ghost shooter. The release of the game was postponed several times, and eventually, the company delayed it indefinitely.

Yesterday, Xbox head Phil Spencer announced the upcoming appearance of StarCraft strategies in the Game Pass subscription.
