Nintendo has finally unveiled its new console! Take a look at the debut trailer for the Switch 2.
The two-and-a-half-minute video provides a detailed look at the console's new design. The device will feature a larger screen, electromagnetic controllers, two USB Type-C ports, and an improved kickstand. The recent rumor about Joy-Cons doubling as a mouse has also been confirmed.
This time, the console will be available exclusively in black. However, the stick caps and inner sections of the Joy-Cons are accented with red and blue.
At the end of the trailer, viewers get a glimpse of the new Mario Kart installment and a slide highlighting backward compatibility. The new console will support old cartridges, though not all games will be playable.
The company also announced an upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation on April 2, focusing on games and other updates for the Switch 2. Additionally, in April, major cities worldwide will host events where fans can try the console firsthand.
Sales are set to begin in 2025.
