Victoria 3 is the new grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive, set in the 19th century. You can take control of one of dozens of countries and lead it to world domination. And if you want to experiment with the game's possibilities, you can use cheat codes. You'll find a complete list of codes in this guide.

How to Enter Cheats in Victoria 3

You need to launch the game in debug mode. The simplest way is to press the ~ (tilde) key to bring up the console, and enter the command debug_mode. An alternative method is to right-click on the game shortcut, select Properties, and then Launch Options. In the window that opens, enter the line -debug_mode.

All the codes listed below are entered in the console.

  • add_radical [culture tag] [amount] — add a specified number of radicals within the particular culture of your state;
  • add_relations [country tag] [amount] — increase the number of cultural connection points in your country;
  • add_war_support [country tag] [amount] — add a specified number of war support points to the country engaged in warfare;
  • treatyport — occupy a treaty port in the specified region;
  • audio.list_events — show the list of audio tracks for the current event;
  • audio.play_event [event name] — play the playlist of the specified event;
  • Camera.Save — save the current camera position;
  • Camera.Load — load the saved camera position;
  • date [date in format year, month, day, hour, for example, 1903.02.01.12] — change the date to the specified one.

  • audio.cpu_info — show CPU load;
  • crush — cause the game to crash.

How to Find the Country, Object, or Event Tag in Victoria 3

You might have noticed that some cheats require specific tags that correspond to states, cultures, etc. You can find these using the following algorithm:

  1. Open the console with the ~ (tilde) key.
  2. Open the Script Explorer.
  3. In the Provider section, select the necessary object — country, province, culture, or something else you need.
  4. The tag you are looking for will be indicated in the ID column.
