The Forest is a horror survival game. It challenges you to survive on an island inhabited by tribes of aggressive cannibals. If you're having difficulties progressing or just want to experiment, you can use cheats. We've compiled all the current codes in this article.

Please note that some commands may damage your saves, remove progress, and lead to other undesirable outcomes.

Cheats for The Forest that don't require console activation

These codes from the list can be entered directly in the game's main menu:

  • ironforest — buildings become indestructible. To disable the cheat, enter it again.
  • regrowmode — while you sleep, 10% of chopped-down trees regrow. This only works with stumps that haven't been destroyed.
  • woodpaste — removes all cutter holes.
  • rawmeatmode — activates hardcore mode. If the player dies, the save will be erased. To exit this mode, enter the code again.
  • meatmode — disables all cheats.

How to enable (open, activate) the developer console in The Forest? How to use the console in The Forest?

To activate the console, enter the command developermodeon in the main menu, before starting the game session. Then load your save. The F1 key opens the console. F2 shows the log and status. F3 opens your character's parameters — athleticism, weight, strength, and calorie count. Pressing F1, F2, and F3 again will close the respective window.

All codes listed below must be entered in the console.
