I really liked the reimagining of Assassins. The plot is interesting. But the side effects are all the same. In comparison with the previous part they look like outright hackwork. The mercenary system adds an interesting challenge. I liked it.
Yubosoft are simply masters of rolling their franchises into nothing. Splinter Cell hasn't been released for 6 years. Prince of Persia is buried under a reboot and a sequel-prequel, at the very least tied to the release of the film. The Crew 2 is just a laugh, just like The Division 2, in which they didn’t even bother to redraw the interface. Odyssey is a copy of Origins, only with sea areas and an enlarged map, on which again the same identical tasks, a plot about revenge and towers. But the most interesting thing is that the game’s lore is completely broken. Fortunately, the series went on hiatus for 2 years. But despite all this, I spent 90 hours in the game. This is the magic of Ubisoft games - you go in, do absolute bullshit, but somehow get sucked in. In general, the game is very controversial.
I am a big fan of the Assassin's Creed series. I played almost all the games, read comics based on it, and even watched that creepy movie with Fassbender. And I was waiting for E3 in 2018 to see the trailer for the new part, but when it was shown, it became clear that ENT was KILLED. Please note that in the last part there was a bias towards RPGs, but the lore, at least partially, was preserved.
