Games Battlefield 4 All reviews Review from GWanderer

I've always been interested in shooters, probably because in them you can feel the weight of war and be in the shoes of a hero saving the world or country. At first glance, Battlefield 4 is a perfect game with excellent graphics, entertaining gameplay, mind-blowing sound and an exciting story. But there is always a “but”, and here this “but” is the plot.

In the trailers, Electronic Arts and DICE tried to play up the plot as a trump card, calling it emotional and returning to the roots, namely Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with its “story of one squad.” In Battlefield 4, the story looks like it was written by an American high school student with an unhealthy level of patriotism. The squad in Bad Company 2 was interesting to watch, they could give up their principles, they thought through everything in advance. In Battlefield 4, the squad is a bunch of short-sighted peacekeepers, take for example the case with the Valkyrie, when the Irishman brought a whole bunch of Chinese onto the ship, thereby violating the order. I understand that sometimes by breaking an order you can become a hero on behalf of the people, but in this situation it was an idiotic act. It was as if he hoped that no one would notice that he had brought a huge pile of boats to his base. And the “plot” of BF4 is made up of such idiotic actions.

But the game, as in the case of the 3rd part, is saved by the multiplayer, which, as always, is made amazingly and is interesting and varied to play, unlike a single company.
