Here it is - the game that made all the grafodchers piss themselves with boiling water. In this regard, the legendary “Crisis” had no equal. Everyone wanted to see the game at maximum settings, but...the hardware was burning with a blue flame and begging for mercy. Now, the name of the game Crysis and the company CryTek are associated with incredible graphics that challenge the best PC builds. And this is not without reason. The game has become a kind of benchmark. But enough about that and let's move on to the game itself.

Crysis was positioned as an open world shooter. Like, go wherever you want and do whatever you want. But reality is cruel. In fact, we only get the opportunity to approach our destination from different angles. In principle, it is tolerable. You can come up with tactics … Read full

The first Crysis appears, as everyone knows, as a killer of video cards - a monster with which not a single assembly of top-end computers in its time could fully cope. And there was a lot to deal with. Top-end graphics are pleasing to the eye, volumetric dynamic smoke (at the very end of the game) which I have only seen here. Even now looking at the screenshots, the game is not far behind the last Far Cry(s).

The gameplay assumed that the player would be offered an open world in which he himself would generate cool moments. In fact, the maps are very local and limited in movement, but this does not prevent you from completing tasks in different ways, at least at the very beginning of the game, then everything becomes more and more constrained.

The plot is quite interesting. He is one of thos… Read full

Good game, but there are some disadvantages. I played this game for a very long time, but more time in addition. The plot here is not bad and the aliens are quite interesting, here they are not human-like but some kind of jellyfish or octopuses. At first we fight with the Koreans, but then we get on an alien ship and then the island completely freezes and we fight with the aliens, and then we get on an aircraft carrier, destroy the alien ship and fly away to the frozen island. End. The gameplay here is interesting, and there are also abilities: strength, invisibility, speed and protection, but protection will only be implemented in Crysis 2. It’s a pity that many fans wonder where Nomad went, but he died in the Crysis comics, and many fans don’t know this. I've always been interested in so… Read full

the game is well designed, very good nature all around, the atmosphere is cool both before and after the invasion

Crysis was a leap in technology at the time of its release (2007). Incredible graphics, amazing physics and your crying half-burning PC.

Crysis looks interesting, the lore is also interesting, but the gameplay... Crysis is one of the most boring games I've played, it only became interesting at the end when the aliens appeared, and the rest of the game is complete despondency.

6.0

The game set the bar well for other shooters in terms of graphics. For its time it seemed something unimaginable, the plot was of course so-so, but the customization of weapons was very compelling. Of course, the plot at first was compelling right up until the moment the aliens appeared. Driving the cars, well, let’s face it. .clumsy. The game has an atmosphere, but if they took the vector of just wars with people, and not aliens, it seems to me it would be better.. because after the first couple of missions the game turned into some kind of hentai with tentacles..

I’m an experienced gamer and I remember the release of the game and the hype around it, but nevertheless, this game passed me by, and the computer was rather weak, and I didn’t really want it, to be honest.

BUT 10 years after the release of this game, the devil pulled me to get acquainted with it.

In general, my impressions are that if you were a fan of this game in 2007 and want to get nostalgic, then go ahead. But if you only decided to master it in 2019, don’t!

Firstly, there are still some problems with optimization, i.e. Even on i5, 16GB of RAM and 6GB of video, sometimes drops below 60 FPS occur, especially when the Ceph attack began, after leaving the ice dome.

Secondly, graphics. In 2007, the graphics were probably great, and as for me, the graphics are the main advantage of this game,… Read full
