Warning: this is my first review, so please don't throw slippers at me, but I welcome criticism. This opinion is subjective and is not intended to offend anyone.
Part 1: Optimization, or the “main problem” of this game
Many people criticize this game, saying: “The most buggy game of the year/decade/century.” This is partly true, but when I completed it, and I completed it at the beginning of January 2021 (less than a month after the release), I found almost no bugs, well, with the exception of FPS drops during firefights, I failed twice textures (the first: when I was driving a car around the city and ran into a traffic light, and the second: when I fought some boss in Pacifica (sorry, I forgot his name), several times after talking with the main character suddenly had a heart attack from some random NPCs, and the sound was often jammed, but all of the above is quite normal for almost every modern AAA game. I think now they have fixed, if not everything, then almost everything
P.S during the battle. with the last boss (so metallic, healthy and also worked for Arasaka), a bug helped me a lot with the help of which I killed him with one bat, since I had the cartridges for some reason we ran out of
Part 2: plot
The story in the game is quite interesting, first you go with a friend to rob the number of a big shot from Arasaka, as a result of which your friend is killed, and in addition some the chip is now eating your brain and you will eventually die a terrible death, and the coolest thing is that no one will help you, and in none of the endings "happy" ending, which gives incentive to further games in the Cyberpunk universe. Well, yes, Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand is perhaps one of the best acting performances in the history of the industry.
Part 3: gameplay/design
In terms of gameplay, nothing really new was brought in, a classic RPG in the setting of the near future, where there are a bunch of hot and cold weapons, a bunch of additional quests that rain down on you from every corner, starting with the classic “Kill/Find and Bring”, ending with really interesting tasks with individual plot branches. There are also purely entertaining tasks, like hot racing sessions or going to a friend’s shooting range and getting a cool pistol for winning. Dialogues where you need to temporarily choose an answer or simply remain silent are implemented quite well (in some cases it is better to do just that). The neon style of the game speaks for itself: “This is Cyberpunk, damn it!” And I don’t see the point in discussing the graphics, because they’re just NEXT-GEN
Part 4: music/sound
Start of the battle in the game it is always accompanied by a short beep, as if they are scratching something and at the same time they are shouting strangely, this is very cool, because you always understand that a mess has now begun. I still remember this sound better than any track in the game, it will forever remain in my heart. In general, the set of melodies in the game is standard, but I will still mention one track, this is the one that plays periodically, and in my opinion even after the ending in the credits (oh, I don’t know its name, but in short, it’s really cool). When listening to it, it evokes such a pleasant, summer, evening nostalgia that it gives you goosebumps. As for the sounds themselves, everything is standard here, the impact from shots, and not always from blows in close combat, pleasant voice acting of characters, etc.
Conclusion: cyberpunk is definitely a good game, one of the best games of 2021 (not 2020 because it came out at the very end), of course it’s not “The Witcher 3: Neon Version”, as many wanted, but it has its own history, its own lore, its own style, its own huge universe in the end. I hope that in the future CD Project Red will be more attentive to the optimization of their games (although I repeat: personally, the process of completing it did not cause any discomfort in technical terms), and I’m looking forward to story additions to it and perhaps even some sequels.
Interesting fact: in the Cyberpunk universe, the USSR did not collapse, so there is a possibility that the events of Atomic Heart occur in parallel with the events of Cyberpunk 2077)) well, this is already rofl
