It was 2k18, I still got the coveted Dark Sause 3, although it was a little late. I was well aware of the complexity of this series of games and was prepared for it. The complexity of the series rejects the weak and attracts the strongest (masochists). Most likely, everyone who wanted to play it has already done so and this review will be even more useless. But I'll start:
The game is literally saturated with pain and darkness, from the very beginning to the end, from the color palette to the musical accompaniment. Hopelessness is in the air. It is mysterious and mysterious, in the literal sense, no one will tell you about the lore, history or the elementary structure of the game, you will have to find out all this yourself through trial and error. Lore will have to literally piece together, read item descriptions, listen to NPCs, etc. REMEMBER: you will have to die a lot, you will have to run around the same locations back and forth a thousand times. By the way, about the locations - they are very diverse and interesting in their own way.
Regarding the characters, I can only say that they are very interesting and....mysterious or what?
Bosses can rightfully be considered a separate form of art in this game. While some wildly ask for a knife, others evoke pity. The chic design and detailing are amazing.
To summarize, I would like to say that the game is clearly not for everyone, but it is worth its hardcore.
