Before us is the continuation of the cult dark fantasy, which completed both its story and the franchise. This game was able to acquire fans who spare no time in constantly running to the boss, the road to which, at times, can become even more difficult than the boss itself, which can really get on your nerves - this is normal, because we are all accustomed to the fact that the game carefully protects us from hardships and misunderstandings, providing initial training in both game mechanics and gameplay.

Pros of the game:

-musical accompaniment (Lord, how epic the battle becomes during such amazing music, mamma Mia!)

-lore of the game (carefully intertwined with all three parts and explains all the moments, however not completely, so that people build theories about this… Read full

Dark Souls, as a sensational series of games and spawned many projects of its kind, is an excellent series with good and non-standard gameplay, which is very good, even if it mainly has attack, 2 weapon skills and defense/attack of the second weapon.

This game requires knowledge of timings and an understanding of mechanics the size of an ocean and the depth of a puddle. It is important to understand that the lore of the game, conveyed through dialogues and descriptions of some objects, is very huge and deep, like an abyss.

The game world will immerse you in an uncomfortable and frightening world with its own oddities and features, scattered across quite large and not very large locations with many objects and opponents.

The setting of the game allows you to feel despair, fear and pain, due to the tragic stories and trials that the game offers.

NATURE OF THE WORK

I came across this work at a period of my life when I had almost lost faith and interest in games as separate and serious works. Dark Souls "reboots" the essence of the computer game, as it weaves the fact of "gameover" into the fabric of the narrative. That is, this is a kind of breaking the 4th wall. That is, the player is immersed deeper into what is happening, since death and attempts become part of the process. And overcoming on the brink and, indeed, using and honing your own skills immerse you physiologically in this work. You are no longer just a spectator, but a participant.

NATURE OF NARRATION

Among other things, the long-emerging narrative style of narration has found brilliant implementation and a practical peak of development. Telling a story through objects, e… Read full

No matter what anyone says, the most difficult part of the Dark Souls series is always the one you started with. For me, the third part is like a walk, fascinating and beautiful, of course it’s difficult to delve into the lore, but it’s impossible not to enjoy such a miracle.

A wonderful game, I played it after the first two parts and received a lot of positive emotions. I completed all the main bosses in +-25 hours, then finished off the DLC (there are only 2 of them, I don’t know why the site says 1) in another 20 hours, some bosses had to spend 1-2 days to kill (hello to Frida and Gael). The game perfectly continues the lore of the first part, but only slightly touches on the second. It’s nice to be able to play through the game with different classes, which gives excellent replayability.

The gameplay is not very different from previous parts, with the exception of the mana bar, dual weapons and various weapon effects.

Although the graphics have become better, in some moments the developers clearly did not add high textures (on the wall of Lothric, just go… Read full

An excellent continuation of the first two parts of the hardcore slasher series in a dark gothic Japanese setting.

A high-quality project, comparable to the first two, which did not lower the bar, neither interest in the gameplay, nor complexity, which was always tooth-breaking.

The gameplay was perfected by the older sisters and is the quintessence of polished mechanics, the basis of which is good reaction, knowledge of the weaknesses and strengths of opponents and a huge amount of luck. After all, if you’re just a little unlucky, the hysterically familiar “you dead” screen won’t keep you waiting.

I would like to write a post about a wonderful game from From Software. My acquaintance with the dark souls universe began with the first part, which was recommended to me by a friend. So, I completed the first Dark with enthusiasm, I was incredibly attracted by the non-linearity of passing locations and bosses, by the alluring and catchy complexity, by its character. After completing it, I hastily began to go through part 3. I was amazed, I had never been so hooked by single-player games before as Dark Souls. I just devoured the third Dark Souls.

In it I can highlight the main advantages:

1) The history of the world that I want to explore

2) The variety of gameplay, both in terms of things and locations, opponents, bosses.

3) not a little important plus - good additions

4) As I mentioned earli… Read full

I installed it, started playing as a homeless man with a club, and demolished the first knight. I don't understand what's funny. Took down a crystalline crocodile. I don't understand what the pleasure is. He went to the wall of Lothric and took down the ice knight at the gate. I didn't enjoy it one bit. The boss is primitive, just know that you press the roll at the right time, and you go behind his back and he turns into a piece of cheese. I went to the undead village and felt the pain of the fact that even with the fastest weapons and no armor the player is slower than most NPCs. Okay, I got to the tree and fell on the third try. Bos is stupid and one-button. I tore the hell out of this piece of soul strudel and went to play more exciting games.

Despite the notoriety of the souls series, the third part of the series became the most balanced and therefore the most malleable of all its brothers.

My personal experience with the troika did not start on the best note, because my computer simply could not run the game at more than 800x600 with a maximum of 20 frames. But as they say, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Since the game was still starting, I decided to accept the challenge.

Aaaand... To my surprise, I did not encounter any exceptional difficulties either in the main game or in its additions (with the exception of one cute little dragon who was killing my game with its special effects)

Conclusion: if you you don’t have a Rimbaud complex and you want to overcome, then this game is definitely for you

I've been eyeing this game for a long time. After all, like many others, I have heard a lot about this series of games, about its extreme hardcore, first of all, but also about the feeling of satisfaction when overcoming difficulties. And therefore, I had an ambivalent attitude towards this series, on the one hand, I’m not a straight casual, but I also don’t like to screw up the same place in games, and here I was promised endless deaths and replays of the same locations and bosses until infinity, as well as burning of the rear point. Plus, the price for this series of games bites, at least in my coordinate system, so to speak, because it was impossible to buy this game for less than 500 rubles, and if I buy games from 500+ rubles, I want to be sure that I will complete them, and in DS suc… Read full

It was 2k18, I still got the coveted Dark Sause 3, although it was a little late. I was well aware of the complexity of this series of games and was prepared for it. The complexity of the series rejects the weak and attracts the strongest (masochists). Most likely, everyone who wanted to play it has already done so and this review will be even more useless. But I'll start:

The game is literally saturated with pain and darkness, from the very beginning to the end, from the color palette to the musical accompaniment. Hopelessness is in the air. It is mysterious and mysterious, in the literal sense, no one will tell you about the lore, history or the elementary structure of the game, you will have to find out all this yourself through trial and error. Lore will have to literally piece together… Read full

This game will not break you, but will only test your endurance.

I love the DS series and couldn’t miss such an amazing project.

Let's go through the points:

Gameplay: Everyone knows everything.

Error = death.

Delayed = death.

Greedy = death.

The game is a pleasure to fight due to its good combat system.

The game teaches you to play it carefully and calmly.

Graphics: Unsatisfactory. No excuses.

Plot: The new cycle of world rebirth allows you to see old acquaintances in new bosses. The whole story is based on map scenes, short dialogues and descriptions of objects. This is a world in which you yourself must show interest and only then will you learn new things about the world you are destroying.

Controls: Pleasant, but not entirely responsive, unpleasantly clumsy in places, but satisfying.

Sound and … Read full

Completed ds1 and ds2. I really liked it. It was always difficult, but quite passable. This part frankly sucks. It's like you're playing DS1 worse. The plot is trash. There are only 2 interesting bosses, the battle with which will take your breath away. In order to drag them into PvP, you only need a quick attack button, a lot of stamina and some larger piece of hardware. If you see a phantom, you hit your head on the mouse and win. I played through it twice and both times in the final it felt like they took the old parts, added a pinch of bloodborne and flavored everything with crooked hitboxes and difficulty jumps. The only thing. What pleased me was the nice graphics and atmospheric soundtrack.
