From the very beginning of the Darkest's storyline, I was surprised how the Ancestor so easily and quickly became obsessed with the idea of conquering the catacombs of the dungeon. Scientific interest is understandable, but the person literally lost his mind in pursuit of a destructive goal. In this DLC we will learn the prehistory of our dear Ancestor and understand what took his peace forever.
The Crimson Court is perhaps the largest addition to the game in terms of content. In fact, we have a full-fledged prologue with many new enemies, game items, missions and mini-stories that cover the plot holes of the main company. As we already know, vampires are the main enemies in the Courtyard. Yes, difficult vampires. These creatures differ from their counterparts from other game universes by their resemblance not to classic bats, but to other bloodsuckers - kamars. It looks very fresh and very creepy. The DLC makes changes to the entire gameplay, because vampires, like the disease they spread, begin to spread throughout all game locations. So, if you are a hardcore fan and have not yet started going through Darkest Dungeon, you can immediately install this add-on before starting the game. But I warn you, bloodsuckers are very difficult opponents and once released from their monastery they will not give you peace. These guys are dangerous not only because of their many effective fighting techniques, but also because of the disease that is very easy to catch from their bites. This disease causes the unfortunate to have a strong thirst for “blood” - a special potion, which will also have to be obtained in battles with kind nobles.
Also additional. the content allows another extremely strong opponent to enter the stage. The inquisitor is hunting for participants in the campaign infected with the god curse and can interrupt the entire campaign by jumping out like a jack-in-the-box and sending all those infected to the stake. Fighting him is not an easy quest, which I honestly couldn’t complete.
In a word, this DLC is a must-read for everyone who enjoyed playing through the main story and who wants to know about everything that was left unsaid after winning Darkest. You definitely won’t be bored in the company of sophisticated aristocrats, especially if warm, sweet blood flows in your veins...

С самого начала прохождения сюжетной компании Темнейшего меня удивляло, как Предок столь легко и быстро помешался на идее покорения катакомб подзеелья. Учёный интерес понятен, но человек ведь буквально лишился рассудка в погоне за губительной целью. В это DLC мы и узнаем предисторию нашего дорогого Предка и поймём, что же навсегда отняло у него покой.
The Crimson Court пожалуй, самое крупное по колличеству контента дополнение к игре. По-сути перед нами полноценный пролог со множеством новых врагов, игровых предметов, миссий и миниисторий, закрывающих сюжетные дыры основной компании. Как нам уже известно, в качестве главных врагов во Внутреннем дворе выступают вампиры. Да непростые вампиры. От своих собратьев из других игровых вселенных эти твари отличаются сходством не с классическими летучими мышами, но с иными кровососами — с камарами. Выглядит очень свежо и весьма жутко. DLC вносит изменения во весь игровой процесс, ибо вампиры начинают, как и распростроняемый ими недуг расползаться по всем игровым локациям. Так что, если ты — любитель хардкора и ещё не успел начать проходить Darkest Dungeon — можешь сразу установить это дополнение перед началом игры. Но предупреждаю, кровососы — очень непростые противники и будучи выпущеными однажды из своей обители уже не дадут покоя. Опасны эти ребята не только множеством эффктивных боевых приёмов, но и поветрием, которое очень легко подцепить от их укусов. Эта болезнь вызывает у несчастных сильную жажду "крови" — особой микстуры, добывать которую так же придётся в боях с любезными дворянами.
Так же доп. контент позволяет выйти на сцену ещё одному крайне сильному противнику. Инквизитор ведёт охоту на заражённых богряным проклятием участников похода и может прервать весь поход, выскачив как чёрт из табакерки и отправив всех заражённых на костёр. Сражение с ним — нелёгкий квест, которы я, честно признаюсь, так и не смог выполнить.
Одним словом, это DLC обязательно к ознакомлению всем, кому пришлось по душе прохождение основной сюжетки и кому хочется узнать обо всём, что осталось недосказанным после победы в Темнейшем. Скучать в обществе утончённых аристократов точно не придётся, особенно, если в ваших жилах течёт тёплая, сладкая кровь...
