So I completed the creation of the genius Kojima, the Yandex food simulator. And there’s really no arguing here, it’s brilliant. There are all sorts of games with open worlds, where life revolves, there are NPCs, some entertaining tasks, etc., but they can be boring. There is nothing in the open world here. There’s absolutely nothing at all, almost no life or living creatures, but it’s interesting and not boring. Paradox. This is probably why Kojima is considered a genius. As they say, make a masterpiece out of nothing. As the community shows, this Title is not for everyone. The monotony of the gameplay and I think the online component are to blame. Here, the difference between playing a pirate game really makes life much more difficult compared to a licensed one. An excellent commercial move to buy a single (which happened to me), after all, a genius came up with it. Now point by point.
In terms of gameplay, the game really doesn’t offer much variety. All you do is carry cargo from point A to point B. There are of course a couple of tasks that are a little different, but most of the game is an action courier, or a stealth porter adventure. But not everything is so bad, the game periodically throws up walks where you will have to think about how to get through, how to get around the river, how to climb a rock, how to get around the terrorist camp, so there will be no stupidly pressing the W button here. You also need to pay more attention to your equipment before going on a hike. Stupidly just taking it and popping it in a straight line can then cost a lot in time.
According to the graphic, everything is at the 2019 level. No complaints.
The soundtrack is excellent, the tracks add atmosphere and accurately convey immersion into the courier world.
The controls also have some features (I played on a PC) that you won’t find in other games, which is a separate plus.
Well, the most important thing is the plot. During cut scenes, you can safely go pour some tea, the film will be at least 10 minutes long. I won’t spoil it, but there is intrigue with unexpected turns, at some point you begin to think: who is the antagonist in the whole story? The penultimate dialogues (order 69) were drawn out so much that it was infuriating. But we'll forgive that. What else I remember was the development of the characters. I think I will remember their names for a long time, as well as their, so to speak, character traits, life history, motivation for action. My quibble with one of the characters is: “Why are you so flat? Where are the breasts?”
Everything I found bad.
As a result, I want to say that this loud title justifies Kojima’s nickname. The game is not for everyone, but it is unique and special. A request from those who stayed in it for half an hour and decided that it was complete crap. Give her a chance to open up. I think the ratings on the portals would have been higher then. And of course, a pirate girl will not give you those feelings of online unity. Buy on Steam at a discount and don’t look back. Most of the content will not be appreciated by 18 minus (the idea of the game is for more mature brains), I suppose this point also affected the ratings in the community.
Online I still felt this unusual moment for myself - in the game I really want to help other couriers (build roads, bridges, leave inventory). The rigors of the hikes unite the brotherhood of porters.
