The greatest courier simulator in the most unusual post-apocalypse from the genius Hideo Kojima.
Although, for me, it’s too pretentious, too good an ending, well, there should have been at least a drop of ointment! Amelia canceled the end of the world, BB came to life, none of Sam's friends died. Damn, come on, Kojima! Are you a genius or what?
Otherwise, incredibly atmospheric and the most depressing game in the history of mankind! Until recently, it seemed to me that the end was inevitable, and that the whole game was just some kind of lyrical journey of the hero for some unknown reason. Well, as it turned out, this was not at all the case, but right up to the finale it seemed to me that everything would be very bad.
One story of that soldier is worth it: at first our nightmare is some guy who always lights a cigarette and sends his soldiers at me, but then it turns out that he is a normal guy whose life was ruined by “Bridges”, and at the very end it turns out, that he is Sam's father.
In terms of gameplay, everything is simple: collect parcels and deliver them from one region to another until you get bored, and you start taking exclusively plot parcels. Well, there is also combat, but I practically didn’t use it, only when I fought with the subordinates of the sad soldier.
The plot is very interesting, although extremely absurd. What is happening defies any laws, including physics. There is no logic in the game world. This is probably why it became a masterpiece.
Well, in general, the toy is so light, it’s relaxing, especially when you’re driving a car across empty plains and listening to lyrical music. But relaxation for three evenings is one thing, and relaxation for 50-60 hours is another! This is where you begin to gradually become overwhelmed by such a pastime.
There’s even a little bit of horror here: a gloomy world, invisible creatures that pour oil on you, from which really scary, screaming bastards crawl out, eager to drag the hero to them. Well, also strange cut-scenes filled with desperate madness.
The game is very cool to play on a gamepad, but on a keyboard - NO!
Overall, I liked it, although it was a pretentious ending, inappropriate for the extremely depressive atmosphere of the game.
