Games Don't Starve All reviews Review from DonSancho

Already in the initial menu, a cool art style catches your eye, looking like a mixture of pencil sketches and animated 2D figures and scenery. Looks new and original.

Having started the game and admiring the cute loading menu, I found myself in the shoes of a certain guy in a cute vest, who, having woken up in an unknown, wild place, is taught a couple of valuable survival tips from a mysterious stranger. After this, the cunning man immediately disappears, leaving my hero alone in a hostile world full of mysteries and witchcraft.

It would seem to have an interesting premise, beautiful design and many secrets that the player will have to uncover. What's the problem? Yes, the whole point is that the game does not have an ultimate goal. All that remains to be done during the passage is to make a shelter, look for food and fight off hostile fauna and all sorts of evil spirits. The first hour and a half is interesting and exciting, but soon the routine gets boring, and besides fighting with anthropomorphic animals and building palaces from excrement and sticks, there is nothing to do.

I really love all kinds of survival games and I see that the developers tried very hard to create a memorable, unlike any other world, and they succeeded. I was let down by the aimlessness of it all. It's like a play with brilliant actors, beautiful makeup and magnificent scenery, but lacking the most important thing - a plot. I praise the creators for their efforts and see their talent in creating game projects, but, alas, I cannot recommend the result of their efforts for playthrough.
