Dota 2 is a legendary mob and remains so today. The game has 3 main problems:

- developers and balancers

- community

- rating system

Everything described above really spoils both the game and the feeling after it. Instead of pleasure, you will only burn. The barrier to entry into the game is very low. Beginners need six months or a year to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge. The recent transition to Source 2 cannot be called a super successful transition (due to the abundance of bugs). Now you need more powerful hardware for a comfortable game.

If you haven’t played before, then there’s no point in starting now. In the same hots it will be easier to start, and you will get more pleasure.

DOTA from a mod widely known in narrow circles has turned into a super popular F2P eSports discipline, which clearly did not benefit it. The game itself is not bad, there are many deep mechanics that make the gameplay of this game fun. But it is spoiled by an absolutely lousy community, which will cover an inexperienced player (necessarily with a mention of parents) with all existing genitals, or in the worst case, they will cause damage in the form of continuous diarrhea

The game is definitely worth playing, although now the developers have generally forgotten about its existence, but still: many modes, a whole bunch of characters, and most importantly, tournaments, only in this game you will see how ordinary players become real millionaires. The gameplay itself is also a miracle, controlling friendly units, finishing off enemy ones, a little slow and that’s it, money and experience don’t go to you, but to your party member, very difficult and very interesting.

In short, the gameplay itself is fascinating! BUT! Playing public games with a bunch of primates and mentally retarded people = UNREAL! Purely in 9 games out of 10 you come across complete scumbags, 3-4 macaques in a team, and so on all the time! I don’t recommend PLAYING PUBLICS unless you have 4 friends and yourself! That is, teams 5 on 5! And these downers report just like that, if they don’t like you no matter what, you can do everything perfectly, 0 mistakes and get the game solo, but you will still get 3-4 reports just like that and your account will be closed for 6 months! I started playing Dota when it was still a mod. A lot of time has passed since then and now it is something completely new.

The game allows you to develop your reaction and memory, because the success of gaming matches will depend on these parameters (as well as on your intelligence). It should really be noted that, unfortunately, a large number of players behave completely inappropriately: i.e. swearing, insults, etc.

For me, this is something like a constantly improving parody of the great Warkraft 3. Here the updates are so clever that even in Hell, analyzing the entire game as a punishment would be too cruel. The game itself is very nervous, the music is boring, and every second game you encounter an inadequate teammate

The game is difficult to master, because of this, beginners may not like it here, since at the very first play of the game they can be covered with obscenities, updates due to which bugs may appear (it happened to me that during peaks of heroes there was a blue screen)
