“There’s a container with an inhibitor nearby”
I’ve been waiting for the release of DL2 somewhere since 2019, when my friend and I accidentally stumbled upon the first part for the first time (and played 150+ hours there)
We both took a pre-order in February, but didn’t want to play we sat down immediately after the release (at 5 am, it seems) and...
Of course, expectations were too high - several years of development, a decent first part. But to say that I was disappointed in the game is to say nothing.
If we look at the positives, then this is a good fight, carried over from the first part, the plot has become a little better than in the first part (although in DL1 the plot was bland, even after 4 playthroughs I didn’t remember the characters), a variety of weapons and opponents, well and dynamic parkour, of course.
But speaking of the minuses...
Quite a bad optimization, a mediocre plot (yes, better than in the first part, but no less boring), a stuffy search for containers with inhibitors, a bunch of useless skills, a lot of the same type of tasks , slightly outdated graphics, lack of a firearm (seriously, why was it removed when it fit very organically into part 1 and was implemented well?), bland characters...
In general, there are enough minuses, but in the end we are so happy with the game and we didn’t pass, it was strangled (there’s significantly less fun in the co-op than in the predecessor game) - maybe somehow, someday, we’ll get DL2.
In general, my rating is 6/10
