Games Dying Light All reviews Review from Nik Loranov

Dying Light definitely sets a new standard for zombie games. But it would be wrong if I said that this is a game only about zombies. Dying Light is excellent parkour, it's not boring gameplay, it's a crazy cooperative game with blowing each other up and forays at night, it's interesting Easter eggs that are very easy to spot, it's "leaps of faith" to help a friend, sometimes ending not in a safe landing, but a little to the side , which is then accompanied by wild laughter, because it’s you who needs to help, this is the English voice acting of minor characters, from which one can smell the “correct” pronunciation and a bright Polish accent. But in order. Fading Light, to be a localizer for me, is the spiritual successor to Dead Island, but severely overpowered. The main gameplay is still the same, and co-op is still almost necessary, although without it it’s completely fine. A simple combat system combined with good body physics plus weapon modifications provide tens of hours of exciting gameplay. Of course, unique to the genre is first-person parkour, although not always believable (landing from a height into garbage bags still doesn’t work out), but certainly exciting, which makes it interesting to explore the world itself. Moreover, the world is not monotonous and it is always interesting to climb around in search of something. Yes, and the sizes are quite good. The graphics are nice, plus there are filters like black and white, retro and the like. The plot is unremarkable and quite predictable. The main character doesn’t really show himself, but this is a minus for some and a plus for others.

There are several well-remembered heroes. There is no Russian voice acting, and subtitles are often distracting. I’m silent about the English voice acting, except for GG and a couple of minor ones, it seems no one can speak without an accent. The quests are mostly typical, some are a little unpredictable. Bozak's masterpiece Flock, after which no skirmishes are scary, and the skill is sharpened to the limit. It is better to play at the maximum difficulty level, since at the default level it becomes too easy already in the middle of the game. It is worth mentioning the Easter eggs, most of them varied and easily recognizable. And about the DLC, among which it is worth highlighting the Bozak Pack for its high-speed gameplay, and of course The Following, so voluminous that some studios could sell it separately for full price.

Overall a great game that you want to play again and again.
