The aether created by these huge crystals has allowed the kingdoms to harness magic and prosper for many years, but now a mysterious plague threatens the fragile alliance of states.
The main character is the young knight Clive Rosfield, who is the bodyguard for his younger brother Joshua, the dominant Icon Phoenix. Soon the hero finds himself in the midst of a great tragedy and vows revenge on the dark Icon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings disaster with him.
