Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

A very good game. One of the best in its genre. The plot is simply great. The main character is charismatic and interesting to listen to. The atmosphere is simply captivating from the first seconds of the game. Miami looks great. The gameplay is a little outdated, but I think it’s still possible to play. Discoveries the world no longer seems as cool as in 2003, but it can still be somewhat impressive. The downside of the games is that they are businesses. They are not very interesting to engage in, with the exception of the Malibu club, the film studio and the printing house. My verdict is 9 out of 10.

Vice City...how much time and money I spent on you in the gaming club when I fucked you up. I think everyone should recognize themselves in the phrases “you run, I shoot”, “you accelerate, I steer”, “let me show you something”, “my turn”, etc. And the sheet with cheat codes is still lying around somewhere. As a child, the game for me was nothing more than a merry-go-round for entertainment. Then, already as an adult schoolchild, I began to go through, follow the plot and oh God, it was great. True, the mission with the helicopter is still very difficult for me (Hello to the brother who completed it for me). All this 80s flavor, palm trees, and the beach gave an indescribable feeling. In my opinion, the game's storyline is the best in the series.

I was in 6th grade then. This paper envelope with a disc on which Vice city was manually recorded was passed from hand to hand to everyone I knew who had a PC at that time. An indescribable feeling when you run from school, run into the house and while there are no parents, you quickly start installing the game, because in the installer there was an image of a drawn seductive girl, who is a symbol of the game. And when the installation is completed, I launch GTA with shaking hands. For many weeks, or even months, there was only this on my old computer, GTA Vice city. The next part was the second in the classic GTA trilogy. The move from the gloomy Liberty City to the sunny Vice City, the change in the action time by 15 years and numerous references to films and TV series of that era made Vice the most atmospheric game in the history of the entire series.

The developers did a great job on the image of the city and invited excellent actors, honored masters of their craft, to provide voice acting.

Otherwise, the game has changed little technically, but some changes and the above factors were enough for the game to become one of the best in the early years of the 21st century.

I know that for many the best parts are San Andreas and the Five, but for me it’s Vice City. I was completely captivated by this adventure at one time. I drove without crashing the car given to me - just like IRL (that’s how immersed I was in this game). Plus, I'm very far from the gangster romance nigga. Right there - Scarface and other classics of my childhood! I loved this game and was very upset about the poor remaster, because I wanted to plunge into this wonderful atmosphere again! Vice City evokes nostalgia, which takes me back to distant January 2004, when I installed the game on my first brand new PC and then played it all day, yes, it was a great Vice City game in its time.

Now from nostalgia to the evaluation of the game, I’ll say right away that the evaluation will be subjective, let’s start with the graphics, which at that time were excellent, convenient controls (even a helicopter with bombs ), discoveries and an interesting world, the specific atmosphere of the 80s of the city of Miami (transport, clothes, buildings), an interesting storyline.

A mediocre product - a plug between iconic parts. The functionality is not new, the map is different compared to the previous project, the new ammunition is fictitious, the gameplay is flat - a parody.

Despite the popularity of GTA Vice City and the grand theft auto series of games in general, I didn’t like this part much. The graphics in it are almost no different from the San Andreas part, but the mechanics are the same. The character dies from water, which is why there are many failures in missions, stupid failures. The Vice City map seems boring, monotonous and dry, with an unpleasant style for the eyes (but some may like it). In conclusion, I want to say that you should check out GTA Vice City, but if you don’t like it, I don’t recommend playing it by force.

Oh yes, one of the best GTA. Everything about it is perfect: it’s one of those games that you periodically return to, play through again and again, because it’s truly an icon.

The game is already more than a classic, for many of us it is pure nostalgia, just like the helicopter mission. You may not believe me, but now not all current gamers have gone through this hell. But once upon a time you were the coolest if you knew how to do this (I myself completed this mission for friends a couple of times for beer)
