Just Cause 4

Just Cause 4 is a continuation of the dynamic open-world third-person action series. This time, the main character finds himself in a place called Solis in South America with an important mission—to deal with his arch-enemies and find out who his father was.

The single-player third-person shooter in the huge open world of Just Cause 4 with elements of action and driving is developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and was released on December 4, 2018. The game is a classic sandbox, with all its content designed for player entertainment.

For the new game in the series, the Avalanche studio created a new Apex engine. It delivers high-quality graphics with a powerful particle system, an abundance of visual effects, and a realistic physics model. Due to this, natural phenomena (tornadoes, blizzards, and sandstorms) look real and affect the gameplay.

The events of Just Cause 4 take place in Solis—a fictional country in South America occupied by the forces of the private military company "Black Hand," the strongest and coolest on the planet. Mercenaries appeared in previous parts of the series, but for the first time, players will visit their base and headquarters.

Solis is divided into four regions, each with its own type of terrain, natural conditions, animals, and types of enemies. Because of this, the gameplay changes significantly—hot deserts, humid jungles, or mountainous snowy areas require developing an appropriate style of play.

Each biome also has its own weather system and extreme weather conditions, for example, sandstorms occur in the deserts, blizzards in the mountains, and tornadoes shake the agricultural plains.

Rico Rodriguez, the unchanging hero of the series, is back! This time he is even cooler and more dangerous, as he is equipped with a grappling hook, wingsuit, parachute, and can control all cars, motorboats, and airplanes.

In addition to shooting, each weapon has an alternative mode, which includes abilities like explosive rounds or guided missiles, as well as gadgets akin to launching drones.

The events of the new game take place several years after the ending of Just Cause 3. CIA special agent Rico must eliminate the threat posed by the "Black Hand" and destroy its leader, Gabriela Morales.

His opponents are elite, well-trained soldiers equipped with advanced weapons, protective shields, and even energy fields. For Gabriela, Rico is an arch-enemy, as he is responsible for her mother's death.

The population of Solis is kept in fear and brutality by the mercenaries, with those unwilling to comply being driven into labor camps. Rico does not work alone; he has allies among the locals who must raise a rebellion. Along the way, the truth about Rico's father's life in Solis is revealed.

The developers have diversified the gameplay like never before, making Just Cause 4 offer even more shooting, stunts, and madness than before, with added elements of survival.
