Let me spit in the face of the one who called MGS5 a stupid jerk. Mad Max is perhaps one of the most obvious representatives of his species.
Yes, the game has quite pleasant car battles and even fist fights evoke aesthetic pleasure from the realism of movements, as well as the juicy explosions of cars after accidents. It’s a pleasure to play Max and this is his main advantage. And yet, what’s wrong? YES, as the game progresses, you may suddenly be prohibited from moving forward until you buy new parts for the car or improve your relationship with the leader of the territory. How to improve relationships? Clear bases, destroy towers, destroy squadrons... i.e. complete typical yubisovt tasks to progress through the main story. The game forces you to jerk off and literally says that this is the whole essence of this game.
There is no plot at all, by the way. It can be described as “Max builds a car and turns up the drama in the last missions.” At the same time, the tasks of the main plot often repeat some of the side tasks of clearing the area, but with cutscenes where various madmen take part. Of course, they are trying to add atmosphere to the world, like beautiful locations and an awesome storm, but unfortunately the developers don’t know what the game needs a soundtrack for. Unless you're in a fight or a cutscene, there's no music. A certain semblance of ambient is heard, but not perceived at all, not even giving a chance to taste this world.
2 out of 5. It’s fun to kill time, but the developers didn’t seem to have any intention of doing more. If it were an online project like Crew, it would even shoot.
