First person camera
For the first time, combat and exploration in a game were combined into a seamless first-person experience.
- Cover and visibility are now an important part of the gameplay as all combat cameras have been adjusted for a new perspective. This includes multiple depths for peeking/shooting around corners and a dynamic tilt feature;
- Movement in exploration mode is more responsive, and stopping occurs smoothly without that annoying extra step. The turning speed when sprinting has been increased, and sprinting does not change the FOV - sprinting in combat instead uses (very slight) camera wobble to achieve the desired effect;
- Elevator rides are done in first person, as are squats in exploration mode;
- conversations happen as usual;
- Shepard's hands and weapons do not appear in first person perspective. This compromise is the basis of the mod, so it will not be changed.
