I’ll tell you right away! I haven't read the book! I don’t know who developed it - Russians, not Russians - I have no idea! But the game is good! The main thing is the atmosphere! And here she is really cool. The player is immersed in the game from head to toe thanks to the beautiful picture and high-quality rendering of the underground metro.

PROS:

I repeat once again - the atmosphere is really cool. More than once I thought about what would happen to me if I lived in such conditions. Life underground is really hard! For some reason, I immediately remember such films as “Water World”, “The Book of Illai” - well, in general, films about post-apolist life! People survive and try to live on in such conditions! And reaching the surface is equivalent to some kind of spacewalk)) I’ll note the co… Read full

A linear shooter imbued with an atmosphere of abandonment, loneliness and fear of both the future and for the future. The familiar world collapsed, and the remnants of people were locked in dirty, old Moscow metro lines. People had to adapt, unite and build a new way of life that would be reminiscent of the past. About a happy past. What's in the future? Still the same tunnels? Fear of being robbed by bandits in one of the crossings? To be cannon fodder in a showdown between clans that continue to fight, despite the fact that it was the war that led to the destruction of everything that was dear. Cool game, I recommend it.

"Russian" Fallout

It is not very correct to compare two games that differ in the mechanics of RPG and shooter, but in one thing they are similar - the game takes place after a nuclear war, with one difference, the action takes place in Russia.

The year is 2033, Moscow, the remnants of the survivors took refuge in the metro. People never learned the mistakes they made, instead of uniting together, they created small states. Sparta, Hansa and others, the list can go on for a long time. Each state pursues its own goals, some solve everything peacefully, and some with the help of weapons, but a disaster came worse than an internecine war.

One of the main advantages of this game is the atmosphere of the game, this spirit of post-apocalypse is maintained throughout the entire game. We begin our j… Read full

I had a weak laptop (yes, not Bakery) and last spring I was able to upgrade. A month before this, Metro 2033 orige was distributed. Then he and the original Last Light were removed from Steam. And so I began my adventures in 2033. I read Glukhovsky’s books and I was extremely pleased to see in the game small references to some moments from the book (the hike with Bourbon and his quote about rats, the old man’s conversation about Paveletskaya, etc.). I tried to beat the game in stealth on hardcore (in the first playthrough!). There were some small bombings on the Front Line, but overall all the other chapters were ok. Now I’m playing Ranger Hardcore and am once again imbued with the atmosphere of the game, which made me delighted even during my first playthrough. I’m glad that, although belatedly, I got acquainted with this game Universe.

A good digitization of the wonderful novel of the same name by Dmitry Glukhovsky.

The quality of the project is at a very good level. Physics, gameplay, and basic mechanics are perceived smoothly and do not cause any complaints.

The game practically retells the plot of the book, although with understandable changes. It is these inconsistencies that give rise to most of the questions from fans of the original book.

The second set of questions relates to attempts to make certain quests non-linear. Those. we are told about the need to quietly overcome enemy positions, but no one bothers us to go head-on and shoot the adversaries with targeted fire from a bolt cutter. The problem is that the consequences of such a deviation from the recommendations are zero. No one will scold us for genocide, no … Read full

First, I completed the game, and only a year after completing it, I became acquainted with its literary inspiration. I won't say it was a mistake. To some extent this had its advantages. This was especially helpful when drawing the characters' faces.

And also, if it weren’t for the game, I wouldn’t have recognized the book series itself. (shame on me for not having read it before)

Masterpiece. I recommend!

Not a bad shooter based on the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky and created by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games. The game has a good atmosphere and a good plot that conveys the books. Not bad graphics. And let's be honest, it's nice to play. So I recommend it to fans of this kind of stuff. For them, the gameplay will be very enjoyable and addictive. If you like stalking and want something similar, I advise you to try Metro.

The game is very atmospheric. Runs on a very weak PC. The plot is very interesting. Every part is interesting. I recommend!

The game was very impressive... The plot itself contains the deepest meaning, the most ambitious thought of the author. I played on a 65 inch screen with 5:1 acoustics. There is so much truth, albeit in colors, but I just fell into emotions for 3 days, cool plot. Thank you, good luck everyone!

(Classic! If you like mushroom tea and haven’t eaten yellow snow, then I definitely recommend it!)

An excellent linear shooter in a post-apocalyptic setting, created by 4A Games (The guys used to work at GSC and made S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ). The plot is an interpretation of the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky, so the plot here is decent (Plus, as far as I know! Hollywood screenwriters worked on processing the book into a game... so a tenner in your pocket)

Another rather strong side of the game is the soundtrack and good job on the sound. Every track from the original OST gives you goosebumps!

The graphics are very good for 2010. Even in 2k24 it’s nice for me to replay the game with similar graphics) My respect for the stylization. Moscow has become prettier under PROF, hehe.

To sum it up, this is a legen… Read full

A linear shooter with a fairly well written plot, atmospheric graphics and sound.

Passage variability is zero. The plot, although not bad, is rigidly written. Not a step aside. I only found out about the presence of good and bad endings after finishing the game. I don't know which one I had. Dishonored is implemented much better in this sense.

Stealth in the game is done in a strange way. It seems like it exists, but there’s no point in going through it in stealth. The Deus Ex series is a cut (if not two) above.

The horror component is weak. At some point the monsters stop being scary. The only exceptions are spiders due to the arachnophobia inherent in most people.

Nevertheless, the game is good enough and you can beat it at least once. Plus it's short. For me, far from being a fan of shoote… Read full

The game perfectly conveys the atmosphere of hopelessness of a nuclear apocalypse. Dark tones in colors, conversations of people frightened by monsters, anomalies and wars between stations. Being a fan of the Metro 2033 book series, I can say that although the plot does not completely coincide with the book, its spirit is conveyed perfectly. The action component is of course the main part of the game and is worked out perfectly. I was especially struck by the sounds in the game: explosions, echoes of tunnels, etc. The only thing I didn’t like too much was the unfinished stealth. Overall I would give the game a 9 out of 10.

Like yesterday I remember the feeling when I first entered the game. I was shaking with pleasure. It’s useless to write anything here, because everyone already knows how great this game is! Excellent work done by the developers leads to excellent results. And when Redux appeared, I almost went crazy, because they tightened it up and improved it, making it a total candy. I advise you to purchase the entire Metro series of games and go on a long journey with Artem, which will certainly win your hearts.

Metro is the game with which I began to dive into the world of gaming. The Metro series of games has become truly significant for me than any other games. Here you will find action, horror, humor, and survival. There are no words to fully describe my feelings and attitude towards the game. Playing through the game for the first time, at an early age, I imagined that the main character was myself, and that I was fulfilling Hunter’s request and protecting the subway. There are only warm memories left from the game. I will replay this part of the game more than once, that’s for sure. In general, I can say that “Metro” greatly influenced me, and even changed my life to some extent.

I completed the game twice, I can say that on the first playthrough I completed it in just 2 days, due to the fact that the plot of the game has a book source. The only thing is that the rail did not go at the beginning of the game because... the gun is the best in the game and the gameplay becomes boring to play, but in the redux they fixed everything, well, you can also add a very poor balance when playing on the ranger hardcore difficulty.

9.5

An excellent joker with a native post-Soviet atmosphere. Sort of like a linear metro winter Stalker.

Quite pretentious but entertaining plot, simple gameplay typical of a high-quality shooter, rich lore of the game world.

In light of recent events, I would not like this title to become prophetic.

A wonderful story that shows how much assholes people can be, fighting for a place in this life during cataclysms. The game conveys the plot of the book, but it’s good that it’s not verbatim. After completing it, I wanted to read the book and realized that I shouldn’t look to the game for the plot. Everything is drawn cool: the broken-down metro itself and some small scenes in it, destroyed Moscow and its residential areas. I really love the subway, sometimes I can just ride for hours, and wandering through the tunnels, even virtual ones, is cool. Intense sounds, phantoms appearing out of nowhere, all this paints the atmosphere of this world. Gameplay-wise, we have a good arsenal from which we will shoot mutants and, no matter how sad it may sound, surviving people. There are several facti… Read full

What can you say about a game that can be completed in two hours and doesn’t make you want to play through it again? Yes, almost nothing... The plot is mediocre, resource-demanding, in general, from my point of view, nothing particularly noteworthy, except for the hype raised around the game. Even the first STALKER is cooler than Metro, for many gamers. You can throw anything at me, but I don’t understand your enthusiastic reviews. I expected a lot more from the game...
