Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is a continuation of the first part of Mirror's Edge. We still play as old (24 years old), good Faith. If you compare it with part 1, it has become much better. Improved graphics, added free world and extras. tasks to avoid boredom, abilities have also been improved. The plot is that we escape from prison and again fight the authorities. The game is not bad, you can kill time.

I personally highly anticipated the continuation. I understand why the project was rated so low. The difference from the first part is not so significant. They just added an open world in which all you can do is run across the rooftops. Yes, it’s exciting, BUT, we already saw this in the first part, here the game didn’t bring anything new, so the duration of the pleasure from running errands is much shorter. On the plus side, they finally added a cursor that tells where to run (in the first part this was not the case, and sometimes I would get stuck for 10 minutes and think, what should I do?!). Leveling has also appeared, but I would not say that it has a strong impact and is needed to complete the story. More likely, it’s a cheap motivation for additional tasks in the open world that you… Read full

The developers definitely wanted to make an open world with interactions with other players, but as for me it turned out to be quite doubtful, as such the interaction is minimal, the plot compared to the beginning of the universe of the City of Mirrors is quite linear, short and predictable, Faith’s control does not always work as we would like no perks, but the level of leveling was good, the open world here is very appropriate and enjoyable, they made a reference to the 13th district, but it would be better if they had a similar musical accompaniment. The graphics are definitely on the level and the optimization is not bad, the system with checkpoints is excellent, I fell into the abyss and appeared almost before the fall. To be honest, I wasn’t hooked at all, even though I like the parkour genre.
