Games Need for Speed: Rivals All reviews Review from Vega27

So, only now I got around to writing a review on this game.... And-and-and-and... I just, damn it, don’t know what to write about it... So I’ll just list all the pros and cons of this games which I felt were the main characteristics of this game.

Let's start with the positive aspects:

+When I entered the game I saw quite nice and detailed graphics, I even thought for a second that I was playing on Next-Gen (yes, this is my first time played with a friend on PS3). Seriously, the graphics are so awesome that they can give some exclusives a run for their money, and during the entire session I never lost the game (well, this is understandable, we play on a console, so I didn’t highlight this as a separate plus). The game looks amazing on the new generation.

+Interesting gameplay, although, unfortunately, not without its shortcomings, which I will write about below.

+The soundtrack is pleasant and not very intrusive, I would note this aspect of it as a plus.

+The opportunity to play for the law with attempts to catch up with Michael Jackson, I personally find it more pleasant to play for the police.

+Large vehicle fleet.

+The environment really lives its own life... well, except for the bots, these underdeveloped creatures taxiing straight into oncoming traffic, I hate everything in life and in the games of the Need For Speed series. If you listen closely, you can even hear the birds singing in the forest.

+Direct descendant of Hot Pursuit, one of my favorite games in this series.

+The new "Autolog" is simply amazing. Play it and you’ll understand what I’m getting at.

And now about the minuses:

-Lack of plot, and I didn’t really want it, which is why we can call it a minor minus.

-Cars are irons in the flesh, yes, I think, even if the irons are “put on wheels,” you can get a vehicle that is more responsive to the steering wheel! Let's call this the "iron effect".

-Management is sucking the metal leg of my table! At first, it is so unresponsive that it can discourage you from continuing to play the game. Let's call it "Stick-Shattering Madness".

-Tuning sucks...why in the previous parts it was possible to completely change the body of the car, but here you can’t stick a sticker yourself wherever your heart desires? Let's call this "Tuning degradation".

-The field of view seems to be limited, and you can’t raise the camera up, because I can’t find any other explanation for the fact that all sorts of tinsel flies out from around the corner INTO MY FRONT. We will call this phenomenon “UNEXPECTED TURN-O-O-FROM” in its literal and figurative senses.

-I personally haven’t found a single composition from the soundtrack that is worth saving to my library. We won't call it anything.

-And finally, the most disappointing and mind-numbing minus is the need to constantly go to gas stations, auto repair shops, shelters... who the hell needs this? Why can't you just ride and have fun? If you hit it, go to Ashot for a new bumper, otherwise you will go back to the shelter, losing all the money you have accumulated. And if you combine this with the fact that you play with other players, then you get just a terrible combination, you start not driving around, but constantly going to the shelter/gas station/auto repair shop, because the vast majority of the community are disabled, unable to drive without crashing into everything around you. Let's call it "Need for Repair".

In conclusion, we can say that this game is recommended for purchase, but not as a serious car simulator or adrenaline-pumping casual racing, but as a....relaxant...seriously, it's so nice to play this game after school/work (Well, or what have you got there?) and get into it headlong, enjoying the ride through the huge open world. Those little things that the developers who came from DICE have worked on help you completely immerse yourself in the game.... Perhaps this is the only type of game for which it is worth buying a virtual reality headset.... Just for God's sake, don't even think about taking it seriously , for such critical shortcomings of it as a means of entertainment, such as "Iron effect", "Stick-loosening madness", "Tuning degradation" and "UNEXPECTED TURN" will not allow you to maintain peace of mind, and "Need for Repair" will allow you to ruin it even during a “calm” game.
