Outlast 2

Objectively, Outlast 2 is superior to its predecessor in all respects. There is even more realism, the plot has become more interesting and intricate, the design of locations has become more adequate and logical, the environment has become much more diverse, and the world as a whole is wider. A healing mechanic appeared, and in the first part the hero was healed automatically, and this severely impacted the gameplay. Now, in order to lick our wounds, we must have a bandage with us, which means, in addition to batteries, we also need to look for bandages.

The second part became really scary, not pretentious horror. And the hero feels alive, and therefore, unlike Miles, you really feel sorry for him. Our character will suffer not only physically, but also mentally, from time to time, moving to school from his childhood, but in the form of a nightmare.

However, many, including me, consider the second part worse than the first. I can’t even say why, but the first part is actually superior to its sequel by a small margin.
