At the beginning you create a character, you can choose gender, appearance, first name, last name, one of several (they promise more) professions, positive and negative traits, but you can’t just take all the positive traits in a zombie apocalypse and feel like you’re at a resort.

Played about 20 hours. The game is very hardcore, you can die from every breath. If you carry too heavy a load, you will break your spine. If you don't remove the glass from the road, you have a chance of dying from bleeding or blood poisoning. If you don’t eat less than you should, you’ll die from famine.

The game Project Zomboid is simply super! There is an online and sandbox mode for the game, there are mods. The game has almost everything from sticks to military bases. Whoever is reading, I want to play, everyone should like it, who loves games in the genre of survival, zombie apocalypse.

One of the best zombie games with realism. And the zombie project seemed especially interesting to me. Firstly, a character can have both bad and good habits. Secondly, the player should maintain his sanity, otherwise he may also go crazy (schizophrenia can be enabled when creating a character). The game also has additional modes like “a year later” where everything will be overgrown and survival becomes much more atmospheric. The game has co-op, which is also nice. I give it 8.5/10

The game is brilliant and flexible because of the mods. There are no requirements for them. Lots of possibilities. Yes, it is 2D and there are no cool, constantly changing animations. But the atmosphere. Every start is an adventure. For 10 minutes or 4 months or 447 hours, it all depends on your hands. It’s very complicated and the bottom line is that your character will sooner or later die without a chance. But how brightly it will live depends on you. The game develops imagination for the reason that it is 2D and there are no scenes. You are alone and you need to survive. Understand the game and it will give you a lot of pleasant emotions.

The game is very good chordcore and realistic. But not in terms of graphics, but in terms of gameplay, for example, to open and eat canned food you need an opener; if you are bitten or scratched by a zombie, then you need to separately apply a bandage or adhesive plaster to each bitten part of the body. You can also get sick and then by sneezing you will attract zombies and so on, in short, just play this game and you will understand that this game is very good.

You can fight zombies for your own house, there’s a very cool building and crafting system, you can do whatever you want, and you can also make your dream base, you can equip your character there very there are a lot of firearms and not only there are a lot of cars and various other equipment

In terms of gameplay, everything is fine, the plot lacks lore and randomly spawning NPCs (but this can be fixed with mods and the developers promised to add this in the future).

sounds and music - my homage to Zach Beaver. Music, zombie sounds, everything is top notch.

Localization and Multiplayer are all great.

It took some getting used to the controls, but after 24 hours in the game the controls feel like native ones.

Graphics... Oh the graphics... They are simply beautiful (for my taste) I can’t even describe in words how much I like them in build 41 with updated animations. And in older builds, although it looks cartoonish, there is still something special about it.

Optimization in 41 is excellent in earlier builds, too (fps less than 60 is extremely rare for me)

But the choice of what this first time will be like is huge. Scratched by a zombie? Infection and death. Climbed over the fence? He was scratched, caught inflammation and died. Overestimated your chances against the horde? Haha, how can you overestimate something that doesn’t exist.

The game breaks you. When you see a zombie during the first session you think: “It’s okay, I have a bat.” For the hundredth time, you are already planning a dozen potential escape routes. One of them is a bottle of bleach of course.

Overall a great game, I recommend it

An excellent sandbox survival game, one of those games that you just want to play after a while. Mods and the fan base are a second wind for the game. The whole village is waiting for the update
