Horror that scared me and showed me how to make remakes of old cult games
An interesting and high-quality game, not scary, if you are not very timid, there is room to think and shoot, nice graphics and small animations, it’s clear that they worked on the game.
I played the Remake, completed both campaigns 4 times (for Leon and Claire 2 times) and realized that they sold me garbage. Why? Because the promised connected plot is NOT! Both scenarios are standalone, that is, they are not connected. For example, let's take the moment with the Crocodile, in the original you could choose several methods of killing, in the Remake... well, thank you for not being a QTE. For Claire and Sherry we go down the elevator, we come for Leon, we have to lift the elevator, but it breaks down and we have to look for another way, but what in the Remake? NOTHING! There is no such thing there. Or for example boss battles. In the Remake, we kicked Birkin's ass for Claire, we come for Leon... and again we have to kick Birkin's ass. And there are many such moments! They al… Read full
When quarantine and self-isolation began, I began to look for a game to while away the time. And since I was just starting to get acquainted with resident evil, I thought: “But resident evil 2 remake has recently been released. This is currently the newest game in this series.” To my surprise, my old computer ran this miracle, although not without some frills. That's why I spent the entire quarantine running around the police station, sewers and laboratory, killing zombies, lickers and other evil spirits, running away from the Tyrant and fighting with Birkin. I liked the game because of the plot, the characters, the graphics, and the soundtrack. And recently I installed it on my new computer and went through it again on maximum difficulty. And although I haven’t played the original remakes, I’ll definitely play through them, and the remake is excellent.
The game is cool, it keeps you on your toes, especially when weirdos appear in the area you’ve cleared, there’s little or no ammo, and there’s a tyrant running after you - what a bacchanalia it is.
It’s annoying that zombies are barely killable: a regular pistol should hit their head right away, but no, it doesn’t, zombies without crit need to put at least 6-10 bullets into their head, if you don’t take a larger caliber - that’s where they did it wrong developers
that feeling when you go through an additional episode about the reaper, and walking wounded along the corridor you say only a tyrant is not enough for happiness, and you hear the cherished steps)
I didn’t play the original, so this creation was something new for me. I've never been a fan of The Resident, but I'll remember this gem forever.
If someone thinks that this is a stupid shooting of zombies (ala left 4 dead), then no no. Here 4 zombies in one room are doing such a movement, creating such horror and tension. Just a hint: for the first time, set it to hardcore suicide. There are no complaints about the gameplay. There is a complete balance of action, puzzles (some can take hours to solve without Google) and walking. Well, if you really find fault, of course, then in the end it becomes a little boring, but what happened before that cancels out everything. According to the story, I only played as Leon, it’s good, it’s good. It’s not a good idea to spoil this, but I’ll say that … Read full
The remake turned out to be excellent, when playing at the maximum difficulty level there were often not enough cartridges and knives, in the end with cartridges on the pistol and a grenade I had to go to the tyrant) the dialogues are average, some puzzles are at the level of “connect this thing with this thing and you will get a prize "The graphics remained at the re7 level, only less soapy, which is also not bad
So let's get started with the review. It was late in the evening, I was very, very bored, I didn’t know what to do or what to do. I didn’t want to sleep, I wanted something that would simply take my breath away. I started scouring the Internet in search of a good game. After probably half an hour of searching, my eye came across a review of a game called Resident Evil 2 Remake. At that same moment I became interested in it and started reading. I decided to download a pirated version, try it out, and then maybe buy it. I downloaded it, looked at it, was surprised at the requirements (in theory, even my laptop could run the game), and launched it.
Gameplay: I can say right away - if anyone stands still, it’s only a corpse. Sometimes they can come to life. On high difficulty you will never sto… Read full
I started playing the Resident series on another curling iron and became an ardent fan, although part 6 of course disappointed me. Well, I can say about this game that it’s a drop-dead remaster, I liked literally everything. Good graphics, convenient controls, for example, in part 5 I really liked it (although I got used to it later), acceptable gameplay, cool atmosphere. I was also pleased with the large number of all kinds of Easter eggs. The presence of riddles, zombies that you can kill even if you hit the head several times, fights with liqueurs and a stress-inducing Tyrant, everything was created to have fun))) I finished the game as Leon in one gulp without stopping, then again as Claire. Well, then a couple more times exploring everything you can, getting achievements along the way… Read full
I remember how I played it on PS1 as a little kid, it was nice to see the story from a new angle, the game can be called premium class, this is how games should be made.
The atmosphere is the coolest, which is worth just the sound, as my experience with a 7.1 sound system has shown, playing this you can do quite well, I went through all the plot options for both characters, it’s amazing, especially playing as Tofu, oh that very mode, how he's cool.
game 100 out of 10
Capcom managed to make a great remake.
I really liked the remake - beautiful graphics, music and effects (tearing off zombie limbs or exploding grenade, it’s a delight for the eyes and ears😆), simple but addictive gameplay with a third-person view, the plot is as interesting as the original , but with more elaborate scenes (dialogues) and puzzles. Like many other Capcom products, this game is fun to play through more than once.
P.S. There may still be a lack of old melodies, for example, from the original typewriter, but if you really need it you can buy it, as far as I remember, for 200 rubles.
wonderful remake. As a child, I was not lucky enough to play the original, but having bought the game and completed it, I immediately went to download emulators and play through the second and third parts, and special ones. missions are good.
A masterpiece remake of part 2 of the Resident Evil series! Improved graphics and game mechanics, tense atmosphere, quality of gameplay, horror, atmosphere and graphics are at their best! I recommend!
I passed by when she just came out.
I can immediately declare excellent optimization; I played on hardware that did not even meet the minimum requirements, but played at 30 fps.
Mechanics, graphics at the highest level.
I don’t think it’s worth saying that the game is better than the original.
I can also say that the storyline was written well and there was no such thing that, despite the attraction of the whole game, I wanted to finish it as soon as possible.
This is truly a masterpiece. The game is truly scary, you are in a huge building with a huge zombie who is looking for you - I think this is really scary. Puzzles make the game... unique in its genre? I like it 10/10
I really liked the game. She constantly keeps you on your toes, you are always tense. It's not very difficult, I died 10 times throughout the entire game (9 of them on the crocodile, and the last one from the tyrant in the save room), but the wonderful atmosphere of the game does its job.
The remake is not without problems, the game has quite a bit of content in its price category, and the main highlight of the original, the connection between Claire and Leon’s passages, is lost.
For a remake it turned out quite well, the general atmosphere is there, the graphics are excellent. The only thing you should remember is that the game design has not changed.
