Rules of Survival — an online third-person action game. You will parachute onto an island full of various ammunition and hostile players. Your task — is to survive in a gradually shrinking zone.

The multiplayer online shooter Rules of Survival in the "battle royale" genre offers the same experience as the famous PuBG, but for mobile devices. A huge map, up to 120 players per round, a shrinking world, lots of weapons, vehicles, and loot. You must strive to survive as long as possible by killing opponents, aiming to be the last one standing.

As of early 2018, the game features two maps with American-style buildings and vehicles. The first map is a flat island with a single type of terrain, while the second map consists of several islands connected by bridges, featuring different types of terrain, elevations, and crevices.

All buildings and rooms within them can be searched, but the level design is simpler and more straightforward, with no places to hide securely. Almost always, the character is visible as if on the palm of your hand. As per the genre's laws, the game world relentlessly shrinks as the number of players decreases, indicated by the dispersal of poisonous gas, which you can't stay in for long.

There are zones with the best loot, but everything, including spawn points on the map and zone movement, is chosen randomly. Movement can be sped up by the plentifully placed vehicles, which possess rudimentary physics, but they need to be driven carefully and don't always move adequately.

The game features all types of weapons: pistols, submachine guns, rifles, and even sniper rifles and machine guns. The quantity of weapons is still limited, but developers strive to give each gun its own characteristics, which is an achievement for a mobile game. There is a hit calculation system, and with a rifle, you can kill an enemy with one shot.

Ammunition is available in sufficient quantity and is divided into quality levels; the higher the level, the better. Traditionally, you need to pick up a backpack, fill it with food and medkits, and wear armor and helmets. Protection is much more important than weapons, as shooting is difficult, but good protection always works. Much of the ammunition is automatically upgraded; you just need to pick up the item. Gold is awarded for each round, which can be spent on loot boxes in the store.

In Rules of Survival, there are several modes: solo, duo, or squad. In the first case, all players will be solo, while in the others, you can team up with 2 or 3-4 people. There is an in-game chat for communication, but gameplay with random players without voice communication is likely to disappoint. It is recommended to play with headphones to detect enemies, as good sound is very important.

Players parachute over the terrain for quite a long time, allowing them to fly away from "hot zones" with lots of players and let them kill each other. After landing, you need to search for loot, which is scattered in every building, or kill other players. The game constantly drops useful loot from airplanes, which is more of a lure than a useful feature. As usual, it all comes down to shoot – survive until the round ends.
