S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Considering that the game is not new, I will rate it based on graphics and various bugs (and they sometimes happen) approximately for that period.

And so let's begin...

The first thing I liked about the game was the graphics (I started playing immediately after the game came out) at that time it really seemed gorgeous to me, now having played games like DayZ I understand that The graphics aren’t great, but they don’t suck either, by today’s standards I would give it a solid 7/10, but since I rate it by the standards of that year, it’s a solid 10/10.

The second thing I liked was the realism of the shooting. I somehow looked through the game configs and became convinced that a lot of time and money was spent on the shooting physics. Now we are used to the fact that wherever you aim, you hit it -+ a little higher, a little lower. But with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the situation is a little different; there are a lot of factors influencing shooting. Here are a couple of them:

- weapon wear

- GG fatigue

- weapon type

- cartridge type

- your location (above the target or below)

Based on all this, I boldly I can give 10/10 for the physics of shooting, but because of the slightly incomprehensible physics of the movement of the main characters and NPCs, which I rate at 9/10 (in general everything is fine, but there are a few moments that, in my opinion, did not work out successful) so my overall score for physics is 9.5/10

And of course this is the plot, the plot is very exciting and every time you learn something new. Throughout the game, the developers push you towards the biggest “secret” of the game and it’s exciting, and the side quests are varied, and sometimes even crazy (like: “Why should I do this, I want to live) but the thirst for something valuable defeats you. My rating is 10/10

And the last and most important thing is the atmosphere. Personally, I have never encountered such an atmosphere anywhere. This feeling of a little danger, interest in everything and the feeling of the game itself (it seems to absorb you and conveys its entire atmosphere to you). ) Just without words 10/10.

Well, some small wishes: I advise everyone to go through this game, and after completing it, download the mod (which corrects the bugs in the game (there are few of them, but they exist ;))). so, let's summarize:

-In my opinion, the game has no downsides (or rather, they do exist, but they are quite insignificant and can be corrected by installing a good mod with which the game becomes even better)

The game is great, I recommend it to everyone, there are some small bugs that can be fixed by installing a good mod.
