S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

GRAPHICS - in those days these graphics were super, but now after new games... mmm so-so

MUSIC AND SOUND - very suitable for the game

VOICE ACTING - this is probably the most beautiful thing in the game besides the gameplay — the guys did their best,

CONTROLS are also convenient, but we had to change the layout and sense a little.

Overall the game is super and this is one of those Russian games that is cool to play even now!

I found out about the game in 2022. When I downloaded it I thought it would be a boring game but no. There are monsters in the game that want to kill you, and a lot of weapons. The game will run even on the weakest PC. I also got my friend hooked on this game))))

A wonderful game that has left its mark on the shooter gaming industry. A large number of locations, complete immersion, an unexpected ending. The graphics are good for the year, but there have been better ones. The game is a must-play for every gamer who loves post-apocalypse themes. Lots of side quests, great voice acting and, most importantly, the Exclusion Zone does not depend on the player. She lives her own life, and the A-Life system perfectly shows all its capabilities. I recommend it to everyone, the atmosphere is top notch.

I'm a big fan of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Part 1, Shadows of Chernobyl (or Shadow of Chernobyl) went through many stages: reworking the settings, and then cutting out a lot of content, cutting down graphics (thanks to the not very powerful PC of that time. A similar fate befell Crysis).

The graphics were excellent for that time (and they still look good, and some textures are decent). Before the release of Crysis 1, it was TC that was the leader (and in terms of lighting it also remained the leader, even after the release of Crysis). I don't know how to talk much, so I'll keep it short. I only became a fan of this game 2 years ago when I started this game and this fat old jerk gave me my first task. I was surprised that we just woke up and they were telling us to storm someone already! But the plot in this game is not the main thing, the main thing is the atmosphere! You will be happy to sit with the stalkers by the fire and listen to their jokes and stories. There are also mods that make the game more fun! I'm proud of this game and consider myself a fan!

I liked the game, its atmosphere, and simultaneous seriousness and jokes, the gameplay is excellent, look for artifacts, shoot, carry cans for Sidor and go through the story. And the plot is simple: you walk around, trying to understand why you need to kill Strelok, what is happening, etc. The graphics are good, the eyes do not leak. But AI is not always adequate. This is a wonderful and unforgettable feeling around the fire with soulful NPCs who tell stories, play the guitar, and fry sausage and bread. What about laboratories? Ugh, how scary it was in them when I was still little!

Wow, how nice it is to see STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl and even in the popular this week. I have so many warm memories of this game, and probably most men who are 25+ years old. I can say right away that the current generation of 12-18 years old will not appreciate this masterpiece, since they were brought up on cartoon graphics and became hostages of battle royales. STALKER really has a plot and history. Very cool locations, a very cool plot, the graphics in 2007 were just a masterpiece, at least for me. (now there are even games coming out with similar graphics from indie developers). In general, anyone who is interested in the topic of the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, who wants to fight with mutants and look for anomalies, should definitely play. And by the way, judging by the plot, this is for me the best game in the series. We are waiting for Stalker 2

The game, undoubtedly, is a masterpiece. Firstly, what is the gloomy, ominous, but at the same time such an alluring atmosphere that keeps the player in suspense throughout the entire game. And it does not frighten with cheap screamers, blood and unpleasant pictures, and gray landscapes of the Exclusion Zone, diluted with warm evenings around stalker fires while strumming a guitar.

Also, a twisting plot, pleasant physics and shooting design, a unique audio sequence only emphasize the masterpiece of this game.

To sum it up, I highly recommend this game and think everyone should play it at least once!
