For me, Subnatika is the first single-player game after many years of multiplayer World of Warcraft. I wanted to try something new, something beautiful and interesting. So, Subnatika completely confirmed my expectations. Yes, there weren’t enough quests; somehow there weren’t enough of them at all. Yes, the markers are quite inaccurate, sometimes it took a lot of time to find the right passage. Yes, farming is a little boring, until you find some materials, it’s easier to enter it through the console.
But it was wonderful. I recommend playing in the “Survival” mode, then you can experience the full spectrum of the game. When you carry fruit with you, but it quickly spoils, when you catch fish to pickle it, because this is the best food that does not spoil. When you have to constantly renew the water, because it flies away very quickly. But how cool it is. You need to always remember that the supply is not eternal, that health is fragile, and some monsters can kill you almost with a poke. This adds a certain charm to the game, a certain dose of adrenaline. Because you always need to remember that in the most beautiful locations you can’t flap your ears - the monsters there are not small either.
And the landscapes are really beautiful. How many hours did I spend just admiring the views? I built several bases in the most picturesque places to simply observe and admire. Because it's very beautiful.
It was probably because of this game that I became so fascinated with AI, I wanted to create something just as wonderful.
As a result, the game is colorful, bright, the plot is small and can fray your nerves a little, but this does not spoil the pleasure of the game. It's worth playing to relax your soul. I advise and recommend.
