I became acquainted with The Talos Principle during the New Year holidays 2015, when, naturally, there was an unofficial release on a friend’s laptop. At first, I didn’t understand at all, “Where am I? Who am I? What kind of voice from heaven is constantly talking nonsense? What is the meaning of the existence of the character, and, in fact, the game?”... In a word, I asked the same questions as my a character with answer options available to him in the PBM. Moreover, the levels are kind of strange, all sorts of deactivators, killer balls... But after playing for about 3-4 hours I was hooked, after which I firmly decided to buy this game, which I now never regret.
I began to understand that I was required to carefully read every document, study every QR code, look for additional terminals, which naturally contain the most information. I even came across 3 Easter eggs - with a cute cat, with photographs of the developers and a “hole” in the program code. Now I have 36/40 achievements (I didn’t complete 2 due to banal curiosity and impatience), I’ve played about 20 hours, I’ve seen three endings and I can say with confidence - this is a game, no less, a masterpiece. I will definitely purchase the “Road to Gehenna” expansion. If you love riddles, want to develop your attentiveness and cunning - the game is for you!
