Just don't touch that chicken!
New Elder Scrolls is a game that millions of people have been waiting for, including me. Skyrim gave us snowy plains and battles with dragons, and also improved everything we loved about Mora and Oblivion.
What's the most amazing thing about the Scrolls? Side quests! One small story about a market bread thief can take you away for hours and have you traveling all over the map. This is exactly why I love the Scrolls; it has always been much more interesting for me to get out of the city and go wherever my eyes take me. Skyrim gave it to me and doubled it.
If you have already played games from Besedka, you should know that there will be a lot of bugs. They may never be fixed, but when you're engrossed in this game, you don't care.
Oblivion, at one time, was a very beautiful game with a unique style. Skyrim is different, but even more beautiful. These northern landscapes are mesmerizing, among them: mountain rivers, fields covered with frost and forest spaces. You can directly feel the cold, but the warmth of the fire against this background really warms you up. But there is a problem here too. All this looks amazing only from afar; if you look closely, you can see all the graphical shortcomings of the game. But is this really so important to us in such a large-scale RPG? No.
Skyrim is a great fairy tale. As I already said, it was the side quests that were important to me, these are small stories that turn into huge adventures. But! The main plot of the game is beautiful in its simplicity. I don't think it's worth revealing all the details. This is a great story about a hero who does not know about his powers, gradually discovering them in himself. To end up colliding in a battle of ice and fire. In this game, you don’t look for quests, but they find you. On the road, in a cave or in the mountains, you can choose to help the NPC or not.
There are no classes in the game, you can make yourself anyone. Let it be a tanking mage, a secretive healer, or a thief with a two-handed axe. Choose one of many races, with their own bonuses that will help you in the game. In the process of using weapons, you improve your skills and can upgrade the corresponding development branch.
The game has many improvements compared to previous parts of the series and games in the Fallout series. Now you are not just a camera floating above the ground, in Skyrim you feel the surface under your feet. The sounds in the game are excellent and there is nothing scarier than hearing a dragon roar in the silence. Companions have been added, which brightens up the game. (although these companions do not always act smartly). The master key system was carried over from the same Fallout, for me it’s really better.
The best part is that Skyrim feels alive. People go about their business, work, relax in taverns. It seems that they really "live". They will not forget to reproach you for your bad deeds and will always notice your sickly appearance. The dialogues are pleasant and interesting.
Books in the New Scrolls are a different story. I'm sure I spent several hours on the books I found on my trip. They are really interesting to read, there is drama, satire, and lore. This is truly a huge job done perfectly.
The localization in the game is excellent. 1C-SoftClub did their best. Of course, as always, there are bugs with different NPC voices and some other minor problems. But I am grateful for such work of the company.
Skyrim is one of the best large-scale RPGs. And for a long time it was at the top of my list of favorite games. These are our favorite Elder Scrolls, but ten times better.
