An interesting fact is that it was from this part of the trilogy that my acquaintance with this fantasy universe began. But still, even without knowing anything about Geralt and his previous adventures, I was imbued with the plot, the image of the witchers and the atmosphere of this world.

What about the game itself? She's good, good at a lot of things. Such a variety of weapons, armor and elixirs! A very interesting plot, well-developed secondary tasks, beautiful graphics for 2011. And now that I have tried all the games in the series, I would like to compare the first and second parts. If you look at them, it’s hard to believe that they were created by the same studio, despite the fact that “Assassins of Kings” was released only 4 years later! The developers really tried, created a new en… Read full

Unfortunately, I didn’t bother to get acquainted with the first part of the series and for the first time I met Geralt of Rivia in this game. The game amazed me with its sophistication. The locations are made of very high quality and with attention to detail. The characters are all different, from the king to the simple commoner. Each has their own lines and their own voice acting. I especially liked the localization. There is even obscene language, which gives the game a peculiar medieval flavor. A large number of tasks and contracts. It’s especially gratifying when there are assignments based on the books of Andrzej Sapkowski. If anyone has not read it yet, I advise you to do so immediately. The plot in the game also occupies one of the key places. If you love challenges, then the Witcher series is exclusively for you.

At the time of playing through this masterpiece, I was amazed by its graphics - the picture looked simply amazing. The developers paid attention to everything from the blades of grass to the wrinkles of the characters. The world is well designed. But it's not all about the graphics. The game has an excellent plot that grabs you from the first minutes and doesn’t let go until the very end. The plot is the strongest point of the Witcher series.

There are simply no questions about the gameplay - it’s perfect. I was especially pleased with the combat system, which will not allow you to simply swing your sword in the hope of killing the enemy as quickly as possible. Here you need to use your head and come up with a strategy for each type of enemy. This is good news, and thanks to this combat sys… Read full

At one time, when The Witcher 2 came out, unfortunately, I did not have a chance to play it due to a weak computer. That’s why I played it a year and a half later. First of all, I would like to mention the music. After the gorgeous soundtracks from the first part, in the second the difference is enormous for the worse. The graphics, of course, have grown a lot in quality, but without the “exorbitant quality” turned on, the picture becomes so blurry that it hurts the eyes. The combat system was made exactly as it should be for this game. Now fighting has become really pleasant and interesting (if anyone doesn’t know or doesn’t remember, in the first part you just had to click in time to strike). There are also no complaints about the plot; there are few side quests, but they are interesting.

No matter who says anything, I liked it at the level of the 3rd part and in terms of difficulty it is only very difficult, but there is a place here and not for the hardcore. I recommend it to those who think that the game is bad.

At the moment, this is my favorite game. This game is a mixture of: great story, smart dialogues, superb graphics and balanced gameplay.

I've done it many times and will do it again. And for those who are just about to touch the beautiful, if you want to feel the TRU Gelt experience, play at the easy-medium level, then the difficulty will only affect the number of rolls you make in battle and will artificially extend the time of completion. I say this because I completed the game on each of the difficulty levels (except for psycho, since it’s the same Dark One, but with 1 life, and I’m not a masochist). Plus, some moments in the game were made with a focus on the average level of difficulty. As an example, the Battle of Phantom Armies, you are given control of an ordinary hard worker witho… Read full

Against the backdrop of the third part, everyone forgot about the second. In vain.

Although there is not a huge open world, there are still many side quests.

There are many different mechanics: leveling systems, crafting potions, mutations, etc. The combat system is pure action, but with convenient controls.

The graphics are not inferior to the third part in my opinion.

The plot is not just non-linear. At the beginning, the game is divided into 2 completely separate plots, which is why without completing the game 2 times, it is impossible to fully recognize it. The gloomy Middle Ages without good and gold is what the series is famous for.

There is no full-fledged multiplayer, but you can demonstrate your combat skills in the arena and compare your achievements with other players.

Overall, it’s … Read full

Well, The Witcher: Part Two. Now your time has come.

I spent 70 hours on you and got all the achievements. Now I will speak about you...

For the most part, positively.

The plot of the second Witcher is good, in the spirit of the books. Geralt, as usual, gets caught up in political intrigue and tries to maintain neutrality (which, by the way, is not reflected in the game from the word “at all”). In our search for one wonderful personality and periodic flashbacks, we will learn about a new witcher school, we will be able to decide whether the king of Kaedwena will survive and choose who we sympathize with more: the repulsed elf criminal or the brave Temerian officer. As a plot, we are given a simple beginning and a very complicated implementation of everything that happens before the denouement… Read full

In general, the game is very good from all sides, the characters are charismatic, interesting and interesting to watch. The graphics look very good even at this moment. The only thing that let me down a little is that the game’s plot is not up to par with the first part, in which the plot was the strongest point.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is an excellent atmospheric "RPG".

Graphics, plot, gameplay, everything is top notch. The only thing

didn’t like was that the game turned out to be shorter than the first part.

In my personal feeling, you should pick up the second part immediately after the credits of the first. Well, just before going through the third) The fact is that the immersion in the world is so great, and there are so many nuances and details in the games that it’s quite a task to match a full-fledged book and keep it in your head.

The game tells us the second chapter about the adventures of the white-headed witcher. Once again, breathtaking adventures await us full of sword fights, love affairs, investigations, hunting monsters and rescuing beautiful maidens.

But who would expect anything less.

Meet your favorite heroes and new enemies. It won't be boring.

Now in 2020 I would like to write something about the second Witcher, but oh well. Quite a controversial project. I'll start with what catches my eye - the graphonium. The locations are quite beautiful and colorful, but the filters spoil everything: Keiran’s lair and the plague city from “Dark Souls” are equally unpleasant to the eye. So the optimization is also lame.

The plot is generally good, but there is a lot of politics, personal hostility to this topic. It was somehow difficult to navigate the theory of who rules what and who wants what, but delving into this topic is not so bad. But, such variability in the game is something terrible. Most people play through the game once because it won't give them anything else. Your choice will essentially change the ending of the first, the enti… Read full

Phew, I still barely got through shitcher2. There will be SPOILERS ahead! Well, the plot is wooden and stupid from the very beginning: the herold is caught at the “crime scene” and accused of what he did, and where did Foltest’s children go, who at least saw that he had nothing to do with it? Then comes the stupid tedium: “I’ll find the murderer and punish”, and then at the end: “Well, this is revenge, maybe we’d better have a beer?” WTF? The plot is just rock bottom.

Additional quests made the main plot much more interesting, and the graphics are also very nice. This is where the advantages of the game end.

The combat is, of course, better than the flawed clicker of the first part, but in essence it is a “blow-roll”, and so on in a circle. There are also idiotic QTEs and “let’s arm wrestle”… Read full
