Well, the last adventure of Geralt of Rivia has come to an end. We are sorry to realize all this. But maybe this is for the best? In the sense that it is better to end on a good note than to create a new part that will not live up to all expectations, but It’s not for me to judge, these are just speculations. I would like to quote the name of the last quest from the main part: SOMETHING ENDS, SOMETHING BEGINS. Okay, now let’s talk about the addition itself.
Each name, be it: wild hunt or hearts of stone, does not contain a semantic meaning, and during the course of the plot we understand why it is called “Blood and Wine” and what combination of words. You can understand what the word “wine” has to do with it in the first minutes of my stay in Toussaint, but for me for a long time it remained a mystery. Is blood similar in color to wine? Is someone’s blood being shed because of the sea of wine? Perhaps I’ll leave this riddle for you, you’ll find out.
Toussaint is a wonderful, beautiful city! Combinations of bright colors predominate here. If Velen and Novigrad are gloomy places, then Toussaint is the complete opposite. It’s like being in a fairy tale, but for adults. According to Toussaint I just want to walk, enjoy the majestic architecture, look at the luxurious vineyard fields.
Let’s talk a little about the humor. As always, it’s great! Just look at the additional quest at the end of this add-on. I’d like to talk about it, but then it won’t be that interesting, but you’ll laugh heartily. Speaking in general, then Geralt does not understand all these knightly customs. Why give your beloved the head of a monster? Isn’t it easier to give flowers and sweets? But this is just one case, and there are also many other funny stories.
To sum it up, I recommend purchasing it, you won’t regret it, these 40 hours will be one of the best. I can only advise you to go slowly and enjoy the game, no matter how much you want to find out what happens next.
