In my opinion, one of the closest to ideal RPGs and here's why:
Live dialogues. It’s worth admitting that “biovarka”, “gazebo”, “obsidians” write dialogues that are either pretentious, or simple, or according to the standards of the adventure genre accepted in the West. I don’t argue that our Polish friends speak much closer to us and due to this, the dialogues seem more sincere and lively, but, damn it, that’s the way it is for us.
Huge interesting world. With all due respect to the postulates of TES, in the open world there are not adventures at every turn and a large territory is more than natural. And due to this huge territory, you really believe that all these are the territories of different states. You see small detachments, villages, huge cities. Yes, there is no Skyrim simulation here, and in terms of animals this is slightly lacking, but you still believe in this world. He was written superbly.
Wonderful characters. Every single one of them. Here is the merit of the world, and the merit of speech, and in general one can rant about this for a long time.
The feeling that you are a witcher. And since you are a Witcher, this justifies all your actions. Why do you take side jobs (witch job), why don't you save the world, why might you not care about people or why don't you have problems with politics.
Respect for the original source. In my opinion, a reference work with the original source. They multiplied all the good things that were in the books, and also added something of their own that harmonizes perfectly with them. True, there are a couple of controversial additions, but this was done for the sake of gameplay, so you can forgive it.
Both the main plot and the side plots are all small masterpieces. Perhaps I'm exaggerating, but only slightly. NOT A SINGLE monotonous quest. Even monster-killing missions always have at least some backstory or interesting twist. I don’t remember anyone doing side quests like this, to be honest.
Picture. Yes, graphic masturbation is trending, but I’ll say a few words. I'm just really glad that the developers decided to focus on draw distance, grass density, wind and lighting. I always didn’t care about the quality of textures, and I’m very glad that the developers gave me something that would make me “good” in terms of pictures.
Music. Great job with the music.
Gameplay. We've polished up the combat of the 2nd part. If you ask me to describe it as briefly as possible, then this is a lightweight variation of Dark Souls, but with the ability to quickly and on the go use magic (signs).
Localization Yes, yes, problems with speech speed. But it’s worth mentioning that they are already actively working on this problem, and after the latest patches the most noticeable issues have been fixed (checked). And yes, the localization turned out to be excellent. I won’t say that everyone is trying equally well, but I will still allow myself to call it one of the best localizations. Well, at least the game has a better translation of the text into Russian.
Generally speaking, delight and joy. 5 out of 5. Well, or 9.5 out of 10. Half a point minus only because all the animals and opponents are attached to a strictly defined area. The area is large, but I would really like to have a full-fledged simulation...
