An excellent original survival game in a world of senseless and merciless war.
Lots of mechanics and small details. During the day, you distribute resources, satisfy the natural needs of the characters, of which there are 3 or 4 under your command (I played for a long time, I don’t remember exactly). And at night, one of the heroes goes on a raid for supplies, which will be sorely lacking throughout the game.
Your task is to hold out for 45 days, after which a truce will come.
The game is very hardcore and if one of the characters dies, it is no longer possible to reboot, and if all the characters succumb, then the game ends and everything starts again.
The hero can be killed not only by other hostile survivalists and soldiers during a night raid, but also by hunger, extreme fatigue, illness or moral exhaustion of the hero. The latter can be caused by the character's "additional needs" not being met. For example, someone needs to smoke a cigarette at least once a week, another wants coffee, etc.
There is a lot of crafting: you can create beds, a moonshine still, some kind of weapon, plant a vegetable garden, filter water, etc.
In addition to your personal survival, there are other additional activities, for example; two children come to you and ask for medicine for their mother, and if you have it, you can give it away, sacrificing a valuable resource for yourself, which could save you in the future. Or you may be asked to clear up a rubble on a nearby street. Well, or a merchant may come to you, and you can exchange valuable resources with him.
As a rule, war is shown to us in bright shooters, like Call of Duty or Battlefield, but this indie project from a small Polish studio shows war as it is for ordinary people, without pathos and victorious bravado. There are only the hardships of surviving in inhuman conditions: lack of resources, blood, pain, dirt, the smell of corpses and burning, it shows how difficult it is to remain human in such terrible conditions.
This game is the best anti-war game project that everyone should try in order to understand the importance of a peaceful sky above your own head and above the head of the most distant inhabitant of Africa or South America.
ALL THE WORLD!
