Watch_Dogs is a beautiful and interesting game, but only in trailers. I was expecting an exciting adventure about hackers, but what I received was an unfinished and cut-up product.
It's unfortunate that Ubisoft failed to realize its ambitions and failed resoundingly. Only the lazy did not criticize WD, but not everything is as bad as they say. Yes, the game is unfinished, the graphics have deteriorated (partially this can be corrected with graphic mods), hacking comes down to pressing and holding one button. The hacking functionality itself consists of changing the color of the traffic light, activating an obstacle on the road, turning off lights in the entire city, hacking and controlling the camera, explosions on the roads, raising/lowering bridges, and also hacking the system using a mini-game. For these actions, the hero simply uses a special application with a visual interface, and real hacking is almost never shown in the game.
I think you have already heard about driving a car. Let me remind you again. It is poorly executed, although you can drive it, you just need to get used to it. But due to the fact that the hero is constantly holding the phone, you cannot shoot from the car. The shooting itself is also poorly done here.
The most normal thing in the game turned out to be a hidden passage, but it can get boring quickly. You can have fun in a mini-game with a robotic spider that destroys the city, as well as in other small games. They're really fun to play.
The plot is weak and again touches on the theme of revenge. The characters are not memorable and not fully developed. The story turned out to be crumpled and uninteresting.
Ubisoft, as usual, were able to recreate the city well, but life in it is not felt. Sometimes it’s just interesting to listen or read the conversations of the residents.
As a result, we got an unfinished game, with a good idea, but poor implementation.
